  2. I'll see your Garstang Blue and I'll raise you our Shepherd's Purse. Love from Yorkshire
  3. And you clearly don't know a lot about it either, because you seem to be under the impression it is a single homogenous entity, which it isn't, and neither has it ever been formally designated a terrorist organisation. So going back to your original response to Jonnyboy, it kind of renders your opinion irrelevant as well.
  4. Shane Long for that? You must be mad!
  5. Typo - meant 11 goals.
  6. I've lived among northerners for 15 years now, and I have never come across this. With one or two exceptions, northerners in general make far better real ale than southerners do, I'm sorry to tell you.
  7. That's still a big assumption though isn't it. Saying anybody who supports Antifa is absolutely a far leftist is no different to saying that anybody who supports Tommy Robinson is absolutely a far right fascist. And I already know you do not agree with the latter.
  8. I assume this is what Cabbage Face was alluding to earlier in the thread. 11 goals in 25 apps so far this season for Leipzig. Having Ralph here could be a big pull for him, so it's not out of the question.

    2-1 Japan now.
  10. And yet here you are doing exactly the same thing - assuming that anybody to the left of Tony Blair is a 'far leftist'.
  11. Remember Sims is back from his loan spell now. Not saying he is up to Redmond's standard, but it at least gives us extra cover in that position.
  12. Yep. All the omens are there. Might as well lump your money on a Derby win now - 19/4 at Bet365. Seems good value to me.
  13. Looking extremely likely that Gabbi will be on his way, and Hoedt has been completely frozen out so unless he is happy to get paid for not even making the bench then he will hopefully be moved on as well.
  14. Not really, because it means we will still have to rely on Targett at LWB. I would much rather have a dedicated CB and Bertrand playing wing back.
  15. If he's fit then I would be very surprised if he doesn't at least make the bench for the replay against Derby.
  16. Won't make any difference though. The general service from Northern Rail these days is so horrifically bad that you won't really notice if they are on strike or not.
  17. He did a while back, but didn't he then get banned from SMS by Cortese?
  18. Rule 1?
  19. Neves' goal was almost identical to West Ham's first at SMS (forget who the scorer was) and it's interesting that Paul Ince was critical of Mignolet for letting it in.
  20. I was under the impression that Sims was on a season-long loan. In which case, we have exercised a recall option which means he must be in Ralph's plans. Or was it just a half-season loan to begin with?

Yeah I would imagine they are one of the strongest teams in it and among the favourites for the trophy. Edit: I've just had a little butchers online and I can't find anyone offering odds on outright winner of the tournament, but at 1/5 Japan have the shortest odds of any of the teams in the competition to win their group. So I don't think we can bank on Yoshi getting an early plane home from this one
  22. 7 days in to the window and the only movement so far is Davis to Rangers, which we all assumed would happen last summer anyway. When can we expect Alpine Saint's customary meltdown about how we are always so slow to do our business and miss out on our primary targets as a result?
  23. Good luck Steven, and thanks for your efforts. A true gent and a credit to the club by all accounts. But I'm a little miffed we don't get a fee for him AND we have to pay his wages until July. Might hinder our chances of making any signings this window.
  24. So we get nothing for him then. Great. Although, I guess it's only fair seeing as we got him for next to nothing in 2012 when Rangers collapsed. Would have been good to get a fee for him, and this way we still don't even get him off the wage bill, so it's win-win for Rangers but a kick in the nuts for us in terms of being able to make new signings this window.
