Ok so on reflection, it wasn't quite as bad as our worst performances under Still. If we'd played like we did against Blackburn or Preston today then Millwall would have absolutely torn us a new one. No way we would have still been in the game going into injury time. Just too many players not on top of their game today. THB is so inconsistent it's infuriating. Stephens is his usual ball-watching self and Manning is such a liability, it's no wonder they targeted us down that side all afternoon. As for Aribo, what an utter waste of a shirt. Clearly far too scared of getting injured and scuppering any January transfer to bother putting in any effort at all. We completely surrendered the midfield when he came on. Shame because a motivated Aribo would have been good to have in midfield and hold the ball up and take pressure off the defence. Get rid ASAP.

I'm not convinced he would have had the mental strength to deal with the abuse he would have got from the home fans TBH. Not sure he would have made a difference.
-
Don't forget Manning. The three of them together are like the unholy trinity. Also a special shout for Aribo today for one of the most obvious phoned-in performances of all time.
-
That is just a fucking ridiculous goal to concede.
-
Outstanding finish, but where was the pressure on the ball? Aribo made a half hearted attempt to jog out to him but that was it. He's been very poor in all of his cameos recently.
-
Azeez has been their most dangerous player today, so yeah let's just leave him completely unmarked. I'm usually among Baz's biggest critics but I'm not blaming him for that one. Would have had to be an exceptional save to keep that out.
-
Aribo on for JRob. If he's up for it today, that's a good change because he's much better at keeping possession.
-
That's a really good spot from the ref. I was a bit nervous after Arms smashed that one over the bar at Bramall Lane, but he put it away nicely.
-
You do realise they were in 4th place before KO today, yeah?
-
This really will be his biggest test yet. If he can make a tactical tweak that allows us to bypass their midfield press and get Fellows into the game more then he will have done enough to earn the job permanently IMO.
-
Yes, the header was very poor. But if he's gonna come for that he needs to be stronger. It was a piss weak attempt at getting to the ball ahead of the attacker.
-
Not convinced that was a deliberate dive from Fellows, but he didn't look surprised at the booking.
-
Very lucky let off. No foul for me, just terrible judgement from Baz.
-
Ok that's Baz's best save yet in a Saints shirt.
-
What was that header from Stephens? 🫤
-
Because even though Millwall are making life more difficult for us today than in the previous two games, it's clear to see that we have a game plan and are playing with purpose going forward, instead of just knocking it about aimlessly around the back with no idea how to build meaningful attacks like we were doing under Still.
-
Amazing insight from Tessem... "If that goes inside the post Adam they score!"
-
What was that FK to Millwall for? Looked like a foul on JRob to me.
-
Leicester 2-0 down at home the Sheff Utd within 5 mins. More terrible defending from Faes.

I suggest you go back through some previous match threads and familiarise yourself with Wade's trademark pre-match assessments 😉
-
And imagine how much better we could be if we had a proper (and fit) striker.
-
We've always been a very welcoming bunch on here when it comes to fans of other teams. The only exception I can think of was a Pompey fan who used to post a lot called@Corporate Ho. He was an absolute helmet who fully deserved all the abuse he got.
-
How has Smallbone been doing for them? I see he's not in the squad tonight against Wednesday so is he injured?
-
So Jack Stephens doesn't play, and we get a rare clean sheet. Coincidence? 🤔
-
I took from that that he sees us as a team that they could drop points against, rather than competition for the title.
