  1. It's finally dawned on me who he reminds me of...
  2. And yet THB says that he has brought completely new ideas and given them everything. Given the evidence of my own eyes, I know which one I'm giving more credence to.
  3. With Tonda and his death stares, and Oriol as his enforcer... I would be bucking my ideas up!
  4. Obviously not 😂
  5. Ah, shame. I bet he was really looking forward to that as well.
  6. Get Downes off before he gets himself sent off. This is a perfect opportunity for Bragg to get some more minutes under his belt.
  7. It's weird because when he comes deep he shows really good awareness to put other players through. But as soon as he gets near the box he turns into that one kid in games at school who would always just smack the ball goalwards anytime it came near him.
  8. Sorry but to go from the total clusterfucks of Blackburn and Preston to this in the space of a few weeks kinda pisses on your argument a bit. We were going backwards under Still and getting progressively worse, not better. The formation may be vaguely similar to what Still was picking, but the tempo, patterns of play and, most importantly, the desire, is nothing like what we saw with Still. Do you honestly believe we would have won these 4 games and scored 13+ goals in the process if we had stuck with Still?
  9. An OG from Vestergaard would really be the icing on the cake.
  10. Not for me. I've got Boro to win in my accumulator. Was looking hopeless after 20 mins.
  11. OK, hands up time. I was convinced that Eckert was absolutely the wrong profile of manager we needed right now, and that appointing him would be a massive gamble. But the way he has turned us round over the international break is nothing short of miraculous. The players are obviously loving playing for him and are now full of confidence and showing their superior quality. Thus proving that they don't need a big name or an experienced manager to get the best out of them. As auditions for a job go, you can't really do any more than what he has done.
  12. Standing Still.
  13. OK I know I'm contradicting myself, having forgiven Leo for going for goal earlier, but I really wish Arma would use his head a bit more instead of just lashing at the ball when he's got 2 or 3 teammates in acres of space in the box.
  14. I'm guessing it was when we beat Sunderland 8-0 - eleven years ago.
  15. 3-0. Lovely stuff. Is 9-0 too much to ask for?
  16. Yeah can't blame Leo for wanting to go for glory there. Would be less forgiving if we weren't 2-0 up against ten men though.
  17. Come on Saints. Put these fuckers to the sword.
  18. Hahahahaha!!!
  19. Will Still is an absolute fraud of a manager. And to think there were a few people who genuinely thought he just needed a bit more time and it would eventually click. The players always had these performances in them, but were being grossly mismanaged.
  20. No it was Arma.
  21. Boom. Last season I badly regretted not getting my insurance bet on when we went 2-0 up against them. Not this time.
  22. Yeah you don't need to tell us. Sadly we are all too familiar with his faults. Did he play for us in the 0-9 game?
  23. Woutsisface?
  24. One of them is currently in the Championship, outside the playoff spots and and facing a points deduction. And if Burnley had just one more point then the other three would all be currently in the PL relegation spots. The odds on all three of them getting relegated are long, granted. But it's not out of the question by any means.
  25. Vestergaard guaranteed to be starting then. We must, must exploit that with some quick through-balls like we saw at Charlton. He's got the turning circle and acceleration of an oil tanker. Get Arma to come deep and draw him out and get Leo running past him, he won't stand a chance.
