  1. Apologies if this has already been posted elsewhere, but Leicester have lost their appeal against their PSR charge... https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/articles/c9x83ngge69o
  2. Yeah, this. My 79 year old mum is a lifelong Daily Mail reading Tory voter. Over recent years, she has grown increasingly disillusioned with 'this current lot', and acknowledged a grudging respect for our local Labour MP. But when I have tried to talk to her about the election recently, she closed up again, saying she didn't want to talk politics. I take this to mean that she has fallen hook, line and sinker for the narrative the Mail have been repeating about Starmer planning to raid her pension, and despite everything that's happened over the last 14 years, she will have still voted Tory today because that's what she has always done and she can't bring herself to accept that the entire lifetime of anti-Labour propaganda she has subjected herself to might not have been entirely truthful. At least I know it will have been a wasted vote come tomorrow.
  3. I'm off work with a nasty bout of Covid, but earlier today I dosed myself up to the eyeballs to give me the energy I needed to force myself up to the polling station and hammer in my own nail to the Tories' coffin. Wouldn't have mattered, because I live in the safest of safe Labour seats, but still it's the principle.
  4. This is the same Daily Mail that was telling its readers to be all outraged about tactical voting in the last election when it was being used against the Tories, yeah? Just checking.
  5. He was more than happy to sign his last contract knowing full well he would be back up to Forster. And if we really only want him to stick around until Baz is fit then why have we given him a two year deal? There is another, very simple, possible explanation why he chose to stay rather than go to Celtic or Liverpool... Perhaps he's just comfortable here and doesn't want to relocate his family to Glasgow or Merseyside.
  6. I don't think it's really a case of Southgate having the hand brake on. More like he's tried to put together a sports car using parts from Ferrari, Porsche, Lotus etc.. and what he's actually produced is this...
  7. Coming across a great new word that i will undoubtedly be able to use on a regular basis: https://www.dictionary.com/browse/enshittification
  8. Seeing Ronaldo crying.
  9. Neither of these teams look all that, and that's an awful way to lose a game from Belgium's perspective.
  10. Are you suggesting we erect a giant security fence along the length of the south coast?
  11. Seems there are question marks over his stamina, cos I hear he has a tendency to be pulled off by the manager.
  12. Seems to be a problem with the website. The photos of the training kit are nearly all in monochrome 🤔
  13. Shouting "who else!" after scoring was classless IMO. Shows he believes himself to be the star in the team. This is backed up by his getting frustrated when other players don't pass to him. He's an exciting talent, no doubt. But he's got a long way to go before he's earned the right to be that arrogant. And the team can do without that kind of bell-endery.
  14. Is it coming home?
  15. Time for some celebratory sesame prawn toast?
  16. Wow.
  17. You might have to wait a while longer to say that.
  18. It's Southgate's ultra cautious approach to a knockout game. Holding back some subs in case he needs them in ET.
  19. Perhaps, like the rest of us, they're waiting for the Rice to cook.
  20. Offside this time, but the chances will come. Just before that, Slovakia had 7 players in our half pressing us, so the gaps are there if we can exploit them.
  21. Wow. Southgate must be trying to get himself sacked.
  22. Walker has been very poor. I'd happily put TAA on in his place.
