  1. What the actual f*ck has happened to our defence? It's all very well bemoaning how useless Gazza is, but both of those goals should have been easily dealt with way before the final shot. Utterly shambolic.
  2. Sorry but I wholeheartedly disagree with that. To me comes across as just a straight-talking, no-nonsense northerner who doesn't suffer fools easily, but is unfortunately compelled to deal with them on a regular basis in the form of egotistical journos looking for sensationalist headlines by asking moronic leading questions.
  3. Reed did not actually say that. You might want to re-read his quote.
  4. He makes a good point though. You appear to be stating the opinion that just because Stephens and Turnbull have been on loan at Swindon means they are destined not to ever become part of our first team plans, or that they will never be good enough. What makes you so certain?
  5. It won't be that bad. He walked off the pitch.
  6. Newcastle ended the half as the better team with two good chances. Added to the fact that was as blatant a foul and penalty as you'll ever see, they will be disappointed not to be level.
  7. Thanks but I've sussed it now. I downloaded the zip file using ES file manager and installed it locally from that. Watched the Utd v Citeh game in HD on my telly via miracast from my tablet and it was top notch - much better quality than Sportsmania.
  8. Ha. If Blackpool's ground was up to PL standard then I'm pretty certain Bournemouth's will be too.
  9. I'm stumped here. Following the instructions in the first post and I get as far as selecting .metalkettle under the 'install from zip file' option, but the path is empty. I don't see the repository.metalkettle-1.4.3.zip file. Anybody got any ideas?
  10. And Spurs lose!
  11. Should have been 3. Terrible effort from Davis.
  12. Elia on for Long
  13. Finally we get a penalty from Kevin Friend. JWP to take... Scores!!!!!!!
  14. The frustrating thing is that at least half of his bookings have been undeserved.
  15. Very lucky not to get booked just then.
  16. Pelle looking totally disinterested again today. Making half-arsed attempts to win the ball in the air and then just standing there looking gutted when he inevitably doesn't.
  17. I see Kevin Friend is his usual inconsistent self today. Gives a FK for a perfectly good tackle by Morgan then lets go one from Toby that perhaps should have been a foul. I honestly reckon he just guesses most of the time... "Oooh, a player went down. Should I give a foul?... Eeeny, meeny, miney, mo..."
  18. Who the hell is Flynn!?
  19. Or it could pay right into our hands.
  20. It's just born out of frustration at the fact that we just can't seem to find the right attacking formula at the moment. 4 goals in our last 9 games (discounting the og against Burnley) is very, very poor form. Everton have been poor this season defensively, but we just didn't give them enough to think about on Saturday because our attacking play is too slow and predictable at the moment, with a lack of quality in delivery into the box and a lack of players making runs into it to get on the end of anything. Our expectations were raised very high earlier in the season. We seemed to be scoring for fun up until December. Our defence is still doing its job, but as an attacking force we seem to have taken a massive step backwards. We're football fans, and we're fickle. We need things to cheer about, and we haven't been getting that very much in recent weeks.
  21. I really hoped his goal against England in midweek would give him a confidence boost, but it was just a case of same old same old from him today. It's all very well pointing at the wonder save from Howard early on, but you have to ask the question: why is Pelle trying to lob him instead of smashing it and giving the keeper no chance? As somebody else has already mentioned, he is a defender's dream to play against because he is such an ineffective target man.
  22. Yeah let's just chalk it up to superstition then shall we? Whatever results we may have had there in the past should have no bearing whatsoever. Apart from the short period before we conceded we were utter turd today.
  23. Yep. He's been a total waste of space again today. I fail to see why Koeman keeps persisting with him.
  24. Morgan a stupid boy. Could have got himself sent off for that.
  25. Djuricic on for Toby
