  1. And no sooner do I type that than Liverpool score!
  2. Blades managing to hold off Liverpool quite well. No shots on target so far. Would honestly rather see Liverpool win though. I don't care if they win the league and I would much prefer if they took points off teams around us.
  3. Not seen much of it so far, but this is a sterling effort from Japan. I assumed it would be a routine, high-scoring win for Ireland, but if Japan can hold on to this lead it will be well deserved.
  4. Watching that back, it does look like Yoshi should have easily been able to step in and intercept that ball before it got to Marquis but got caught wrong-footed. But that aside, I thought he had a great game and should definitely start on Saturday. If Ralph drops him again in favour of Vest then he will have officially lost the plot.
  5. Man City away - sh*t draw.
  6. Oxford 3-0 WHU!
  7. Sunderland on course to knock out Sheff Utd too.
  8. The 14-year itch has been scratched. Nervy at times, but ultimately we were completely dominant and managed the game perfectly. Danny Ings goes down as a Saints legend tonight.
  9. So we've started the second half as poorly as we did the first. Left Curtis acres of space to take on that shot.
  10. Well I'm more than happy with a 2-0 lead at HT, but we have done it the hard way. Ings is well fired up and playing his best game for us so far. Beautiful pass from Obafemi. I really do wish PEH could learn to find a team mate with a forward pass. McCarthy’s positioning for their early shot that hit the post was shocking. He was very lucky to get away with that. Adams really needs to get his first goal soon.
  11. JWP too selfish there.
  12. Ings having a great game.
  13. Should have been two.
  14. Sucker punch!
  15. Hoj half asleep there. This is f*cking painful to watch.
  16. McCarthy’s positioning was awful there. A couple of inches to the left and that was in. Need to settle down a bit here. Like most games this season we haven't got into our stride at all yet.
  17. Watching on Sky, I've seen loads of fans in replica shirts and scarves. Maybe they didn't get the memo.
  18. I admire your optimism trousers!
  19. Interesting that Vest doesn't even make the bench. Perhaps he picked up a last minute injury and the decision to put Yoshida in was forced rather than by choice?
  20. Yeah, I mean who would have thought that a man who has proved himself time and time again as unfit to hold public office would turn out to be such a terrible PM huh?
  21. The state of that pitch!
  22. Maya is a better header of the ball than Vestergaard, despite his height disadvantage.
  23. Are you sure about that? https://www.citizensinformation.ie/en/government_in_ireland/european_government/eu_institutions/european_court_of_justice.html For clarity - I accept that my comment was flippant, as I'm aware that this morning's Supreme Court ruling is not something that can be challenged in the ECJ.
  24. I agree with you on all points here. We have a non-functioning government and a completely ineffectual opposition to replace them. What we actually need is not just a fresh GE, but a complete, top-down reorganisation of our political system, to ensure that this kind of f*ckery never happens again. Maybe it's time to merge all of these threads and re-name it "The absolute f*cking state of British politics".
  25. So it's all unraveling for Boris then. First the EU tell him what everybody else already knew - that there is no better deal to be done that the one already negotiated with May - and now the prorogation that he instigated in order to try and force through a no-deal exit has been ruled unlawful. I wonder if he will appeal this decision to the ECJ now? That would be the most delicious irony if he did.
