Is this in reference to Elyounoussi being on the pitch?
-
You might have, along with a few other usual suspects. Others will see it for what it was. A poor overall performance but by no means dreadful. It's not like they carved us open time and again and created loads of clear chances. Ultimately, Palace have some good defenders and they did a number on us by completely marking Redmond out of the game and therefore nullifying our primary attacking threat. I seem to remember it was this fixture last season that really got me worried we might go down. We took the lead and then crumbled and gifted them the points. Compare that to tonight - a very different story.

Meh. Poor overall performance so I have to be happy with the point. Moves us slightly further away from the relegation places anyway. I think the biggest issue tonight for us was that Palace had identified Redmond as our main attacking threat and marked him out of the game, therefore we created very little. Good tactics from Palace, but worrying that we look so devoid of ideas without that threat from Redmond. If he gets injured we're screwed. Valery taking a fair bit of flak from some posters but he wasn't as awful as some people like to make out. Defensively he is already much better than Targett. I can't wait for Bertrand to be fit again cos we really need him back. Ings didn't really get any service and really you just have to congratulate Palace for an excellent defensive display. We didn't play well because they didn't let us. McCarthy questionable again, but according to some he is immune from criticism. Beaten at his near post once again and failed to deal with any of Palace's corners - ran into his own team mate more than once.

Doubt it. They are just going to park the bus completely now aren't they.
-
What an embarrassment. Just get off the pitch man.
-
Red card for Palace?
-
Forced him to jump out of the way though, so it's still a foul by the letter of the law.
-
Defensively he is better than Targett.
-
Bournemouth 2-0 up now.
-
Switching to a back 4 with Stephens moving to RB?
-
No idea, but I've hardly heard him mentioned by the taters so far. Not been in the game at all.
-
Why is that good news? In what possible way does the result of that game affect us?
-
Disagree. West Ham was far worse.
-
Targett still a very weak link on the left. Poor defensively and doesn't offer enough in attack unless he gets all the time and space he needs to put in a cross. Ings not had any decent service yet, with JWP and Redmond being very well shut out of the game by the Palace defence, preventing us from getting any any forward momentum going. Valery has done mostly OK against one of the best wingers in the PL. Showing more composure at least. We need to make some kind of formation change cos we ain't going to get anything if we persevere with the same system in the 2nd half. Palace have been marginally better overall and deserve their lead.
-
You said it after 5 minutes FFS. We had a decent spell and created the best chance of the game after that. Palace are no mugs, and we haven't been at our best tonight for whatever reason. But to start saying they are miles better after 5 f*cking minutes is just your usual negative bullsh*t.
-
McCarthy beaten at his near post... again. Seems like Kelvin's coaching is rubbing off on him.
-
What... is a 44-page thread on that not enough for you?
-
JWP really not had much impact so far. Maybe a case of Palace seeing that goal he scored against Everton and closing him down to stop him doing it again.
-
Stephens a little lucky there. Another ref would have booked him for that - or worse.
-
Yet we've just had the best chance.
-
Valery is doing OK. It's Targett on the other side that worries me. A few times now he's failed to anticipate the flight/weight of the ball, and overall he's not having a great game.
-
And then he goes and gives that to Palace for what clearly wasn't even a foul. He's a terrible ref and always has been.
-
Never did like Andre Marriner. That's two blatant fouls he hasn't given in our favour so far.
