This. I saw the thread title and assumed it would be about the dance music festival that used to take place at Matterley Bowl in Winchester every year.

Would that be the same Adam Lallana that blazed over when all he had to do was wide-foot it into the net from Guly's pullback in the first half? I didn't feel confident about any of our players taking that penalty the way the game was going.

I did find it a little cringeworthy that he decided to use his victory speech as yet another opportunity to take a massive swipe at Labour over the war in Iraq.

My brother is currently living and working in Doha - he reckons it's a sh*thole. In all seriousness though, these opportunities don't come up all that often so you should take them when they do. I moved to Sheffield for work in 2004 initially for a year, and I'm still here. Not quite as adventurous as Qatar admittedly, but so many things that I take for granted in my life now are all as a result of making that decision

Actually, I think if I was going to see it at The Smithsonian i would prefer to see it in its worn state and showing its mileage. Would seem a lot more authentic then.

It's a wonderful thing to have such a good academy that continuously produces excellent prospects, but it would be even better if we actually got to see the fruits of it for ourselves rather than Arsenal/Spurs etc... Maybe if/when we return to the PL we might get a few more of the emerging starlets sticking around a while longer. It's worth noting that of all the names mentioned so far on this thread, the only one who went on to produce the goods for us instead of bailing out at the earliest opportunity of a bigger payday was MLT. Although that's probably more of a reflection on football in general than it is on the the club and/or academy.

Why boo him at all? He did a decent job for us I thought, and his supposed slagging of us after he left has been massively exaggerated. I thought his comments were perfectly fair. The abuse he has received from some quarters about it has been nothing short of disgusting IMO.

He probably would have had Alonso if he didn't lose his concentration and run wide. Stunning drive from the lad though.
