  1. That's hardly a sustainable attitude though.
  2. I don't think I know anything. I just happily contribute my opinion on a debate forum knowing that they could be and probably are far from right. I think it is you who needs to assess themselves. I just think too many people get too stressy on here. Also, I am technically(for this year at least), a working adult taxpayer. Boom.
  3. 1. Paying tax doesn't affect the validity of any argument. 2. Yes. Anyone regardless of age(especially when legally an adult) is entitled to an opinion.
  4. Francis Maude can't seem to decide if this strike caused massive inconvenience and disruption or if it was a 'damp squib'. It can't be both.
  5. Valid point, but I'll post what I like!
  6. Go back to your cave, Troll.
  7. I earned enough to pay tax last month actually, so boo hoo. But hold on, are you saying that low earners aren't allowed to have an opinion?
  8. Don't let the facts get in the way then.
  9. Ahahaha, what the hell. I just looked up inflation figures and that would be equivalent to a 42% pay cut! Edit: And that's not including this years inflation!
  10. I wouldn't call 2,000,000 people a damp squib. It's a pretty huge statement.
  11. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/uknews/royal-wedding/8155625/Royal-wedding-marriage-will-cost-economy-5bn.html Allegedly loss of productivity was estimated to be £6bn while gain in extra stuff was £1bn so net loss of £5bn. Our GDP is currently $2.25tn. Change £5n into dollars at current exchange rate is $7.747bn or 0.334% of our GDP!!!! That's a lot of cost. But anyways, I reckon that retail must have done pretty well today as well. I'm working at Primark at the moment, and this morning the amount of parents and kids coming in shopping was a lot. We were a bit busier than we would have been otherwise, but yes... both are destructive in the main economically, but I think pensions are more important than being able to watch some marriage.
  12. He gets way more stick much easier than other players, but then gets a lot of praise when he does stuff... it's really extreme swings with him. Little patience by the fans for some reason.
  13. Let's abolish the public sector and see how the private sector do(no education for a start... expand it from there). Anyways, it can't be that inefficient, as Osborne and co are acting like today's strike is an economic catastrophe so the public sector must contribute loads to the economy. How come it is alright to call a day off for a royal wedding, but the second 2 million people(substantially less than got the day off for royal wedding) use their democratic right to strike, they are ruining the economy.
  14. Didn't think anyone particularly did amazingly today. Richardson excepted. A lot of players were just average(which is fine I guess), and others were below par... Guly - thanks for the goal, but today sort of looked lost and couldn't get into it. Lallana - ascended towards the end of the game, but still no spark for most of it. Steve de Ridder looked good sometimes, but ****ed it up other times... Lambert's first touch is incredible though.
  15. Don't know what kind of moron wouldn't be able to do that!
  16. Expand.
  17. A small, but significant minority for me would be anything over 5%... but I guess the definitions vary as it is just a phrase(I always think of significant minority as meaning, yes it's small, but it's significant it exists)! Obviously, I can only go by anecdotal evidence(retrospective look back to my time at school), and what I hear from relatives who are teachers. I imagine the attitude varies by area though.
  18. I can't answer that, but it doesn't invalidate my point.
  19. Good point well made. But I'm sure they could try and keep track of this somehow. Whatever happened to the card swipe system???
  20. That's pretty poor. For a piece of card which won't cost more than a few pennies to print.
  21. Damn right. Parents thinking schools are there to raise their children 100% is not as rare as you think. It's not the majority(no where near), but it's a small but significant minority.
  22. You lot are idiots. I can assure you there are substantial Nepalese, Polish, and Romanian communities where I live and racism is more prevalent than people realise, especially in the older. Where I live is very right wing. We've never had anything but Tory representation, so there are mainly different views to me. Sent from my HTC Hero using Tapatalk
