We are doing excellent. One area we could improve is at the back because while we are scoring more than the teams around us, we have also let in more. But except that, I can't fault it. Almost perfect!

No, it's not closed at all. The debate can go on... because quite clearly, FPTP is bust. 23% to 8% isn't right and something needs to be done.
-
I wasn't talking about that. I was talking about the disparity between voting and seats FPTP creates.
-
It's not democratic.
-
I hope so. And this time on PR... which would easily get voted through.
-
Well, they will switch back and forth a lot I would imagine. Politics is just one big swing between Labour and Conservatives. It's not fair that Labour get no representation in the south and Conservative in the north considering percentage of votes. What is a disgrace though is the Liberal Democrat vote to seat ratio. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/shared/election2010/results/region/8.stm For example this region... Labour: 26.2% of votes and 4.7% of the seats. And Nationwide... Lib Dems: 23% of the vote for 8% of the seats!!!!
-
In fairness, they didn't say FPTP was the best way. Just that they prefer FPTP to AV. Though it was hardly a fair battle, given the lies branded about by the FPTP team(i.e the cost)... which they only admitted to the day AFTER the vote.
-
Southern England. It wasn't good enough for the country?! The country decides what is good for the country in relation to their government and they decided the Conservatives weren't that!
-
Cameron still a weak point for the party in my opinion. He really needs to sort himself out over the next few years. It's unbelievable he failed to win the election really when faced against Gordon Brown.
-
I've played at county/district level before and I can tell you 4 sets against a decent side, even an average side can bloody well take it out of you, just as much as any other sport. And that's doubles! Singles is much much harder.
-
Yer, I can't see why Poyet would move. Has a pretty decent set up at Brighton now and could prove himself as a manager by getting Brighton to the Premiership, before moving on to a bigger club than Nottingham Forest(who despite their history, aren't massive anymore).

Saints V Watford.4- 0. Post match chat!!

Guly is excellent, and remember he is not strictly a striker, more an attacking winger. He works tirelessly and always chases the player down and has a hell of a lot of skill as well. Sure, he ****s it up occasionally, but he gets it right a lot more producing some beautiful moments. -
Sven Goran Eriksson is actually a VERY good manager. England were just overrated during his tenure. McClaren is very hit and miss though. He has done alright abroad on occasion. Did well at Middlesbrough, not so well at England and Nottingham Forest.
-
Predictable. Seemed to indicate this a few weeks back when he was moaning about being given no money.

We were incredible in the second half. Demolished them! Could have been 8 or 9 by the end -
Here here. I don't care how talented he is. I don't want him.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Trustee_model_of_representation I don't agree with all that he and others around the time said(especially people of less intelligence not getting the vote), but this is what our democracy is based upon.
-
Hey, I'm not saying I'm agreeing with or disagreeing with this. I'm just presenting it as it is. Mill, the father of modern Liberal Democracy said exactly the same as me. Representatives are elected to use their own intellect to make judgements on behalf of their constituents. They are not there to put forward the view of everyone in their constituency, though of course they can do that if they want. If you want a type of democracy where the people's views are actually integral, go for direct democracy. In representative democracy, you just have to pick between certain fixed visions.
-
Now... Yvette Cooper would be an interesting one, unknown, and not tainted by Blair/Brown.
-
Yes, but in representative democracy they aren't meant to be represent their constituents views to parliament. They are meant to use their intellect in order to make decisions for what they believe is in the best interests of their constituents. Remember that they also run on a manifesto.

Bouncers can be proper ****s. I got kicked out of a Lloyds bar once for tripping over a bottle someone had dropped on the floor.

Regardless, the more live football and sport the BBC has the better for it. We don't want it swallowed up by Sky... but it will do. People don't realise(the way the mail goes on), but Sky has far superior spending power.
-
If it wasn't a Police Officer or PCSO, you are definitely not in trouble with the law. Perhaps with a power driven jobsworth bouncer though...

Boo hoo, Clegg burnt down a Greenhouse full of rare cacti. Cameron did weed and trashed restaurants... Miliband did errrr.... We all stuff like when we are young. And I know you are trolling me.

To be honest, it was only ever underage drinking for me and my friends. I imagine if we were actually harassing people they might have gone through to actual punishment.
