As AV will not cost £250m extra, it is a redundant argument, but it is also distracting from the issue at hand. And the next election will be in 2015, which by your beliefs, everything will be fine then... so I'm sure we'll be able to find the £29m cost which the yes campaign can't refute(even if it is still a maybe) out of the apparent £250m cost.

How good you are at something is a mixture of talent and effort. While I don't believe Harding is quite as talented as some other players, the amount of effort he puts in is phenomenal and he thoroughly deserves his first team place.

It isn't just the Liberal party that can lose out here, so can the conservative party. FPTP only allows for a 2 party parliament really which when you consider only 65% of the population voted for the two 'main' parties, it's now redundant. But yes, you have shown your true colours now. You aren't voting for FPTP because it is the better and fairer system, but because it allows you and your chums to continue the labservative anti-democratic fix of our parliament!

Yes, and FPTP can do this too. The point is AV is LESS likely to do that. The only system that really stamps that out is a PR one like STV. February 1974 election anyone???? Liberal Party 19.3% of the vote, 2.2% of the seats... fair? Last election, Lib Dems 23% of the vote, 8% of the seats, they gained votes but LOST seats. And before you say I am just mentioning Liberal Democrat unfairness(which should be enough), how about Labour getting 35.2% of the votes in 2005, yet 55.2% of the seats? Yes, AV will give strange results because it isn't proportional representation, but it'll do it less so than FPTP.

Not really. I judge people by their actions, not their words. And my argument is that he did not cause the recession and that he was a huge part of the solution. That quote has nothing to do with that.
