Good game yesterday. 1st half was a bit flat, but I still felt like it was only a matter of time before we broke them down and got a goal or two. Never felt in trouble. Important couple of days coming up. MK Dons to win tomorrow. Also, we probably want Brighton to beat any teams around us from now on(except us of course).

I never said we had a lot. I said we have a lot of spending. Numbers in the army is not the be all and end all, the larger picture matters too.

People forget though that our military budget is still huge despite cut backs. The cut backs to our army do not weaken us to some tiny state. We'd still be in the top 5, though China and the USA's military budgets are stratospheric. I do not think this will go to a war with ground troops. I think it may get as far as targeted bombings and perhaps military advisers... though that sounds a lot like Vietnam and we all know what happened there. Though this is very different from Vietnam. No one is actively supporting Gadaffi.

By freezing it for 5 years and making the BBC directly pay for the World Service Radio they have handed a massive cut to the BBC budget.

It's just a proposal. The BBC are floating lots of proposals at the moment including not showing Wimbledon anymore! BUT, most of them will not happen, I suspect a large degree of these very public proposals are a way of pressurising the government a little bit following the licence fee freeze which is effectively a massive cut.

Again, an improvement, but still not great. Extremely slow at times and fast at others and the site did cease to work for a couple of minutes around about full time.
