In terms of pure emotion Henri Camara's goal against Norwich would take some beating. It was a really tense cracking game and when that one went in the roof nearly blew off.

Good solid performance in what could have been a real 'park the bus' banana skin type game. Now we are top 6 next target should be 3/4th. Millwall have Boro (a) and Norwich (h). Let's hope they drop some points and give us an opening. Of course there is the small matter of Wrexham (a) but they'll come at us which should suit our game. We can get something there. Plenty more twists and turns in this crazy league.
-
Forget their league position, they have hit a run of form plus they will be happy to park the bus and go away with a 0-0. Hopefully we'll break through early and force them out of their shells but I wouldn't be surprised if it's a tough grind. They got 0-0's at Cov and Boro so they are well capable of getting something here Do not underestimate them.

6 points from Cov (a) and Norwich (h) is phenomenal. We just beat the 2 form teams in 5 days and none of the other play off teams will be wanting to play us. We've also surely killed off any faint hopes Norwich had for playoffs, good because I wouldn't fancy meeting them. Peretz is my MoM, what a difference a class keeper makes The guy is a prem keeper in the champ. Need to go up to have any chance of keeping him.

This is a real tough one, get 3 points here and we'll be well set. Weirdly enough I quietly fancied us to get something at Cov but I feel more apprehensive about this one. Norwich are in a false position, they really should be fighting for playoffs but just like us they screwed up the first half of the season and will probably miss out. Right now though they are bang in form - just like us. Also they still have a faint playoff chance which will motivate them to reduce the gap between us. Hopefully we get the win but this will be really close.

Brilliant performance, best result of the season and a superb way to bounce back from the WBA game. Peretz had a phenomenal game and that save was Niemi'esque, can't praise it higher than that. *BUT* this result will be worth nothing if we don't convert against a dangerous Norwich team. They are like us in that they had a terrible start - even worse than ours - but have since got their mojo back and are looking good. Just like us they are in a false position, probably should be where we are whereas we should be top 2. After that is Oxford then the crunch game at Wrexham. It doesn't get any easier does it.

On the verge of breaking into the playoffs and we crap the bed. It's the same old script.

IMO he's our key player. If he stays fit we are in the mix, if not then I think we'll fall out of contention.
-
Bottle that performance and bring it out for all our remaining games and we'll be well set for a prem return. No doubt Fulham would have wanted to win which makes it all the more impressive.

I was there, you could feel the air getting sucked out of the stadium before that one went in. No pressure. Wasn't that also the season Glen Cockerill got his jaw broken by Paul Davies? Punched from behind if I remember correctly. We had a really good start that season and went downhill after that game.

Which US superstar should invest in Saints?
Cabrone replied to Stripey McStripe Shirt's topic in The Saints
Britney Spears and Brad Pitt follow the Saints, just don't tell them which Saints they'd be buying. I'm sure they wouldn't notice. https://www.ranker.com/list/celebrity-saints-fans/pedro-cerrano -
When you look at the 'must win' fixtures you'd fancy our chances on a game by game basis but to win 8 out of 8? Not impossible but incredibly tight. I do think we could get at least a point from Ipswich. We will need at least a draw with Wrexham. A point not much talked about on here is that goal difference may also be crucial so we need to hammer the lesser teams as much as possible. Wrexham's last 2 games are Cov(a)\Boro(h), our last 2 are Blackburn(h) and Preston(a). Go into the last 2 games with at least +6 GD on Wrexham and I doubt they make that up, even if Cov\Boro are already guaranteed top 2. Hopefully they are not in which case Wrexham will be in trouble. If it's that tight then GD is an extra point for us.

Alan Shearer wasn't anything special for us.

Some managers just fit certain clubs and I get the feeling he just fits this one. He's taken stick but you can't get on his back too much with that record. He's also getting better as the games go on and he gets a better feel for team formation\selection. Whatever he does from now on in at least I've had more fun watching his teams than I ever did for Jones, Selles, Martin, Juric, Rusk and Still. It's been the most fun since Ralph left in 2022.

Just had a look at the fixtures - Wrexham are on track for 73/74 points - IMO that means 75 points is the target for playoff contention. That's 25 points from 12 games. Need to target the 6 home games (Norwich, Oxford, Ipswich, Derby, Bristol City, Blackburn) - some decent teams in there. We will also need 2-3 away wins (Sheff Wed, West Brom, Swansea)? TBH it looks tough.
-
Good result, we did to QPR what I was hoping we'd do to Charlton. With such a tight table GD may become very important come the home stretch so +5 is very welcome. Let's hope we add to that on Saturday.
-
Typical Saints, work yourself into a decent position and then bottle it. Knowing us we'll beat Coventry at their place in a month's time to balance this one out. What a downer.
-
Looking at the fixtures this w\e... Derby away to Watford Wrexham home to Ipswich Preston away to Blackburn Bristol away to Swansea Birmingham away to Norwich. 4 aways and a tough home. No doubt about it, this w\e is a great opportunity to leapfrog our rivals, maybe even sneak into playoffs?
-
Good stuff, always good to be in the cup, some of my best memories are from cup games. We're not going to win it but hopefully we'll at least get a tie with a decent prem team and a memorable day out. Also keeps the momentum up, never a bad thing to be winning whatever the competition.

Tonda is a funny one isn't he? Looks like a deer in the headlights but back in November he was the first manager in ages who got my pulse working, Granted he stopped it again either side of Xmas but now he seems to have restarted it. I don't know what the secret is - Hypnosis? Voodoo? Maybe just a jammy sod? Either way his teams have at least provided some much needed entertainment in what was shaping up to be a depressing season. Sometimes a manager just fits at a club. This was a big big game, next 5 are Charlton (h), QPR (h), Sheff Wed (a), Norwich(h), West Brom(a) - all winnable fixtures as long as the players don't go back to sleep. Amazingly the playoffs are seriously opening up. Keep it up Mr Jammy, I've stopped caring what your secret sauce is, I'm just enjoying the highs.
-
A good time to get them I'd say. They are still not a bad team though so a draw would be good IMO.
-
Smart move by Wolves to get a good champ striker before they go down, we should be asking for more than 7M though.
-
Right now I'm more interested NFL playoffs and how the 6 nations is going to go. SR have destroyed any interest in this club.
