Stevie Moran showing Alan Biley how it's done, the pitch looked like a wet sponge that afternoon. I think we'll nick this one 2-1 Saints.

Anyone in the top 4 is a small wobble away from either being sucked in or being thrown out of the auto race. It's a highwire act. We had our meltdown 4 months ago and we've only just managed to get back into it. It's all about handling the pressure now. If I was a Leicester fan despite the healthy lead I'd be looking slightly nervously over my shoulder at our 21 game run. They have been on cruise control all season but now the gap is not overwhelming and the chasing pack is gaining. Obviously I'd rather be in their position, all we can do is keep on applying pressure and see if it gets to them. It's not impossible. I'm really enjoying this season, top of the champ is a knife fight to the death. We love a bit of jepardy.

Happy with that, I want Leicester pulled into the mix, 2 from 4 is much better than 1 from 3. I hope their nerves are jangling, another 3 poor results and we could be on them. It's all about who holds their nerve now.

Great 3 points and turns the screw on the teams around us. Even the Leicester fans are starting to notice us in their rear view now. Leicester\Ipswich IMO is going to be a draw so we'll still be 3rd by only 1 point come the end of Monday. How long can we keep this run going?
-
I think this is going to be a fairly tight 2-1 to us. Need to be switched on for the full 90, no silly goals conceded in that last minutes. Leicester v Ipswich feels like a draw to me. Saints to be 1 point behind Ipswich on Monday evening.

Another great win. The 2nd half of this season is shaping up to be one hell of a fight. The games at the King Power, Portman Road and Elland Road just get bigger and bigger.
-
Obviously the league is top priority but I think most fans still enjoy a good cup run plus it keeps the confidence and winning streak going. Looking forward to round 4. So nice to see wins, what a difference this season is to the last 2.

This is one of those games that is impossible to predict, it really could go anywhere. Hopefully it lands on our side.

It was a graceless response from RM, we don't need to know your politics just show some manners towards a guest who is a genuine Saints fan. BTW I'd say the same about any other politician regardless of their party. Besides which, the amount of money Sunak has he could be a future owner. The guy is loaded.

Everyone is talking about a decent goalscorer but i'd be shopping for a better keeper too. It's such an important position and his brain farts may cost us badly in the crunch games as we get to the sharp end of the season.
-
Got a feeling this is going to be one of those hard fought wins where we just get it over the line. Plymouth will park the bus Infront of a brick wall, we may have to be patient. I also think QPR can get a point from Ipswich and we go into 2024 just 3 points behind them.
-
Unbeaten in 16, 22 games left and 4 points behind the Tractor boys. We are now breathing down their necks and look to be getting stronger and stronger. Now we will see what they are made of in the 2nd half of the season. This is shaping up to be a hell of a fight for that auto spot.
-
Hopefully Leicester can give them a pummeling on Boxing day to trigger an Ipswich wobble whilst we win both. Then it's a 4 point gap and we can see how they handle Leeds\Saints breathing down their necks.
-
2 points dropped and with the top 3 being so strong it's a blow. We're on track for 87/88 points which looking at the last few seasons would get us 3rd. The 4 game run in September might end up being our undoing for autos.
-
It's all about winning and scoring goals. I enjoyed league 1 because we were winning. I'm enjoying the champ again because we are winning and I'd enjoy the prem if we could get our fair share of wins and decent football. The league isn't actually that important TBH.
-
Much better performance today, when we get more direct we look decent. Hopefully this is how we will play going forward.
-
We'll make lots of pretty patterns on the pitch and then B'ham will score. Should be looking for a win but I'm not confident.
-
5th in the table despite RMs one dimensional approach to every game. Imagine what we could do if we had a tactically aware mgr
-
The board should have seen enough to make an assessment of RM by now. Mine is that he is mid table quality at best. I'd get rid before our season gets flushed away.
-
Got to admit I thought Leeds would tear us a new one but relieved to get 3 points. Must build on this and get a real run going - Stoke, Rotherham, Hull, Preston, B'ham, Millwall - 15 points out of that lot would get us back on track for auto promotion if we are serious - and we should be. Keep with this lineup and tactics if it works.
-
This is a Leeds spanking all day long. Therefore I predict 3-0 to us. This is SFC we are talking about after all.
-
For me the jury is out on the players until we get a manager that can coach and has higher standards than RM. When the manager has such low expectations of them you can't tell the slackers from the rough diamonds. A decent mgr would find out soon enough.
-
SInce the start of last season we've had more managers than league home wins. To be fair RM has inherited a difficult situation but all he has done is pour more petrol on the fire. The fans have rightly had enough. What is even worse is I can't see anything that gives me hope it will improve. Nothing personal but I'd get rid now. It is not working. SR should sack themselves too, yes RM is the manager but they are the ones doing the appointing and they have not made one decent appointment as of now. How much money are they prepared to burn?
-
Why wait? The performances are not going to improve and every week promotion slips away. Time to cut our losses and part ways with RM. It was another failed experiment.
-
If you want some pragmatism and a decent champ mgr to boot. Always thought he was hard done by last time he was here.
