  1. Glad it's over now. If we'd have somehow scraped through this it would have been the same again next season. The rot would still be there. The clear out starts tomorrow. We need players that can rebuild our shattered mojo and put some belief back into the battered fans. We will need some serious healing before we get back into this league.
  2. 4-3 Brighton, no worries.
  3. I'd try and keep Armstrong and Adams up front in the champ. Forget their prem form, they know their way around the champ and have proven themselves in there. If we keep them then we should have some real cutting edge in that league.
  4. If only we'd have kept Europe's most statistically successful manager we'd have been on the beach weeks ago. Sometimes I just don't understand this board.
  5. Best result this w/e was QPR beating Stoke, hopefully the Wall will fall over in the playoffs and Reading can pull out of bottom 3, Huddersfield (a) is a winner takes all shoot out for them. Sod the Prem, deadly dull league. Back to competitive football.
  6. Well at least it's quite simple, repeat the Arse performance over the next 6 games and maybe we could squeak it. Can't see it through and TBH we can have no complaints about where we are.
  7. Good performance but why didn't the players show this against the teams around us? Beat Man City, Chelsea and very nearly Arsenal but yet manage to lose to the lower teams. Bizarre.
  8. Team at the top Vs team at the bottom. I think they'll put 3 past us in the first half and then play practice passing in the 2nd. No way is there going to be a surprise here.
  9. I think we can all assume that Arse (a) is a loss and Newcastle (a) is a loss. Therefore if B'mth turn us over at St Marys (quite likely) we could be down after the Newcastle game. However that's unlikely because either Forest would have to get 9 points from Utd (h), L'pool (a), Brighton (h), Brentford (a) - OR - Everton would need to beat Palace (a), Newcastle (h), Leicester (a). I think it's more likely that we'll go down not by our rivals putting on a run but by us simply stinking the place out and and eventually running out of games. My guess is Leicester on 32 points, same with Forest and Everton on 31. Forest, Everton and Saints to go down.
  10. Football is relative, most fans just want to see their team win regardless of the division. Our promotion run out of league 1 was infinitely more fun than this season. We should at least be more competitive in the championship which will make it more fun than getting tonked week in week out. Who the hell enjoys that?
  11. If we could keep Adams and Armstrong up front we'd have 2 strikers who know the champ and should do well. JWP, Salisu and KWP will be off. The rest? I don't care about them but I suspect most will stay, mainly because no-one in the prem will have them.
  12. Just want to get this season over and done with, sell off the deadwood and regroup in the championship. Tired of all of it.
  13. City want the points so no chance of an upset. 3-0 or 4-0 to them.
  14. Now need 13-15 points from 9 games just to be in the mix. City\Arse\Newcastle are write offs. 6 games to get 13-15 points. Not going to happen is it.
  15. Struggling to see us getting anything up there, they are at home and better than us. That means we'll win.
  16. In itself this was a decent point but we needed 3. The hill gets steeper.
  17. Forget Utd, anything is a bonus. Still need 15 points from the remaining 12 games to be in the mix. Unlikely from what I've seen so far but until it's mathematically impossible to stay up I'm not giving up..
  18. No one expects us to get anything from this so we'll probably get the win. Don't ask me how though.
  19. Not long till the cricket season starts. Hampshire also know how to win.
  20. Firstly whilst I think we'll probably get relegated I haven't quite closed the door on us yet. There are still 14 games left and we have seen what the team can do against City - if only someone could get into their heads. For me it isn't over till it's mathematical. That said if we went down my heart would love Everton to come down with us. However if they did they'd be a big rival for promotion so I'd rather Bournemouth and Leeds. If this club has any brains left in it they should be prepping for champ football next season because the odds are definitely going in that direction.
  21. Need probably 18 more points just to be in the final mix so 6 wins out of 14 games left. That's looking tough but after City and Chelsea there is a team in there somewhere. My money would be on us getting relegated but there is still some hope that the new guy can coax out that team rather than this Leeds team.
  22. They need to go there believing in a win, a draw isn't good enough. There is still just about enough life in this team to pull out of this.
  23. Great result yesterday, finally convinced the board to get rid of the charlatan that they hired in the first place. Still far from confident we'll escape but at least we aren't 100% nailed on as we were with Jones in charge.
  24. Can the team that beat City please come back? I know they are there somewhere.
  25. 3 wins, 3 points, tails up and right back in the mix. As good as it gets. Lets hope this causes Everton to go even more into a nosedive, more than happy to see them drop plus that would be 1 relegation spot filled.
