It is a sodding game where people ping a ball around the grass...and grown men on here are genuinely angry, upset and wound up about whether or not we are playing in stripes or plain red. That makes no sense at all..Celtic have hundreds of thousands of fans around the world... they average about 50,000 a week and travel very well..and in huge numbers for European games abroad... pompey get about 17,000 on a good day and travel like any normal sized mid range English club. As said above they are a massive massive club...they are just in a poor league

Well said...he is a very good young player, not the finished article but no one is at that age. I'd probably say 75% of people on here haven't even heard of him and write him off due to his price tag...even more haven't seen him play. I have and know he will be a very good player down here if he joins.

If he progresses at the same rate, he'll be worth more than that in a couple of years. Hopefully we'll be fielding a team in Europe by then anyway =]

The home shirt for me is a bit..meh. The away kit is beautiful...very slick.... I wish we had done the home kit exactly the same...would have looked superb.

Was reading their main forum last night and some of their comments suggest they would be most unhappy if he were to join a club of 'our stature'. There are a few sensible ones on there that appreciate it's premiership football and we have an absolute fortune...but there are many on there that think Wanyama would walk into a top 4 teams midfield...should be going to AC Milan, Inter, Man City...etc...and that it's a step down coming to us... Agree that Celtic are a huge club...their league is appalling though. Wanyama will be missing Champions League Football but will probably be earning 3 times as much here and playing top division. If he uses us as a stepping stone for a couple of years before moving to a genuine powerhouse then so be it..he's only 21 and value should only increase.
