@NabilHassan79: For all those #saintsfc fans getting excited by the prospect of Del Piero signing for them. The Australian is reporting he's joined Sydney.
-
Twitter abound with news (a la Ramirez) that agreement reached with Sydney
-
I'd play one of these two lineups: ........................Davis Clyne - Yoshida - Hooiveld - Fox -------------Schneiderlin----------- -----------Davis-------JWP-------- Ramirez------Lambert----Lallana ..........................Davis Clyne - Yoshida - Hooiveld - Fox Schneiderlin - Davis Puncheon - Ramirez - Lallana Lambert

Love it.

Cheers mate, just don't get all this crying over the milk which hasn't spilt and in likelihood wont either.

You seem like you're faith in Adkins is waning Delldays, don't lose sight mate of where we are back and standing as a club. Cortese picked Adkins for a reason, he saw something in him which he valued over the qualities of many different candidates. Trust me, we are in for a special season. Not like those of old, a new dawn... A season in the new 'Southampton Way'
-
I know its been done to death but i do sense something serious flared up with Pardew, and that's why he got sacked! In that interview Yoshida gave, he recalled his conversation with Cortese, where he sold the club to him citing "the togetherness" of the squad. I think this harmony and unity thing in the 'Southampton Way' is being peddled right at the top by Cortese, for that reason I do not think Adkins will go at all this season irrespective of league position. I'll go on record as saying, even if we go down, Cortese will keep him next season.

Docker Plymouth?

Good post.
-
So having seen him on the pitch touch the ball a handful of times at the end of a game, you've decided he's on a par with de ridder?
-
I reckon we'll pick up our first invaluable point against them. Nothing to fear, we had City AND Utd both sweating for large parts of the game. We too are a top team in the making.
-
.........................Davis Clyne - Yoshida - Hooiveld - Fox Schneiderlin - Davis Puncheon - Ramirez - Lallana Lambert this is what I would start with against Arse.
-
Why entertain him, look at his history of posts! Another in the league of fudpucker, Cestrian saint, saint lard etc...
-
Sometimes you make calls, they bear fruit a la city, and you get the plaudits! Other times, with hindsight, they're shown to be flawed. Unfortunately on this occasion, the changes weren't productive. All managers have been in the same boat at different stages, including the best. Part and parcel of the game BUT Adkins does not strike me as someone who will fail to grasp the opportunity with both hands to learn from his fledgling experiences in the top flight. Patience and support, Rome wasn't built in a day.

As soon as Scholes got the ball, utd started making darting runs forward while Scholes held back and picked out passes. Of our 3 midfielders, Morgan will never be the furthest forward of our 3 in midfield, that I imagine should strategically have been the job of one of the others, once Scholes came on. We must learn to press players and not give them free reign to a) put in crosses, or b) the luxury of time to pick out passes. As a 3 man midfield unit, Morgan will sit in front of the defence, he didn't stop being excellent when Scholes came on. Sod it, bring in Del Piero and let him have 20 mins a game to do the 'Scholesey' to teams for us!

Agree with a lot of your sentiments and one thing is for sure, no fan should ever turn on one of his own! Booing your own player is for a certain type of 'supporter', personally reckon you should 'cctv' them and chuck 'em out on their ass! Anyway, Fonte has been looking shakey for a while now and although Hooiveld hasnt been perfect these last 3 games, i sincerely believe he is the least 'accident' prone of the two... These defensive lapses are more than costly in this league.

This.

Sliced a clearance under no pressure which led to corner. Then from that corner, failed to pick up can van persie, who scored from a free header. Game over. Would love to see Yosh alongside Jos.

I still reckon we'll finish mid-table, all teams have a Wigan performance in them in a given season, even the top ones. Heck I remember some shockers, both in the champ and league 1. However, after the two Manchester games, if anything, I'm even more confident of achieving mid-table. Obviously 1 or 2 players short, but Our squad is looking good on the whole. Ram, Lee, Corky to come in and looking forward to what Mayuka and Yoshi can bring to table! Am happy, am very confident.
