Was only 14-15 at the time, but this game just kept going from bad to worse and at final whistle, I tell you, i felt like a zombie. Odd as, as you rightly remember, it was only a cup game, but was this night destined to stay with me or what...

2-0 up against spurs, Grobelaar in goal, Rosenthal comes on and we end up losing 6-2. Don't even think it was a league game but I was devastated at 90 mins.

Ladbrokes will lose money on that. Reckon we will finish top 10!

When we were last in the prem its fair to say I wouldn't always be looking forward to games against the top sides. Now however, I'm intrigued as to what sort of performance we'll produce. As such, am definitely looking forward to this game. Sure we might not win and sure overall we may only just finish outside of the relegation places, BUT what is different this time around, is that we go out and exchange blows with these 'top teams' ...as opposed to backs against the wall and picking up lucky results- type of performances! I'm liking this new Saints. ...give it time, I can feel it in my bones, this Club is knocking on some new lofty doors.
