Gazza had a good game. Looked assured. Fonte looked solid. Davis and Morgan played well. Puncheon was our best player until being taken off. Jrod and lallana, has to be said looked very flat. Having said that, with Clyne, Ramirez, corky and lee to come back in, that's the good news. Need Ramirez to pick some passes out for lee or Mayuka to pace in on to.

All things good were going through puncheon, taking him off on 60 mins why? He was out best player up till then! Surprising substitution.

He will be back and no doubt a valuable player as season progresses. Apart from a centre back and left back, I still reckon we have a pretty strong squad. Bring a fully fit Boruc in, Clyne, corky, ram and lee back, that's a pretty good looking, quality squad

Nothing wrong with asking questions, a supporter's right. But generally speaking, over the last few seasons we've pretty much had it as good as we could ever have dreamed of looking up from the lowest point we found ourselves desperately in. Credit for that is rarely forthcoming from certain minorities on here. Although you will always hear about 'happy clappy', ignorantly 'skipping to games' and 'head under the sand' references aplenty! What has to be said is blatantly obvious, is that there most definitely are some on here who objectively looking at things would appear to be on a relentless crusade to find any pathetic stick to beat the club, or more accurately, the chairman with! Why? Who knows... This loan which there is evidence of, does raise questions, but without the necessary further information to explain it, the propositions could be many ranging from nothing to worry about, to something more concerning. In itself and given the track record of the new regime to date, do we have grounds to chuck our arms in the air in accusing protestation? This is what some on here are intimating we have need to do. Neither extreme is called for! I for one, am quietly confident that on the balance of things, we are on more than a stable footing, and wont be flying the sos flag just yet...

Always takes a few games for players to understand each others game and 'gel' highly doubt they are going to get any sort of form together for a while yet given the number of new recruits i think they have. similar to us really. we've overlooked the fact that not only are we adjusting to a new formation, we also have Clyne, WP, Gaston, Davis etc.. Lets get a run together, hopefully starting tomorrow! Up the saints!

Chaplow is a player we would've benefited from vs Everton. With Cork and Morgan out, I would play a front 3 of Lallana, Lambert and Ramirez. With a reinforced 3 across the middle consisting of Chaplow, Guly and Davis. Remember Guly showing how disciplined and effective he can be playing central midfield vs Coventry... .......................Boruc Clyne......Yoshi........Jos.....Seaborne .....Chaplow....Davis.......Guly Ramirez.............................Lallana .....................Lambert

We have some right tools on here. In the end of the day, Morgan is massively important to how we play. His loss was a massive factor. Gazza's potential showed with a couple of finger tip worldies but his inexperience also showed with their second and third goals. So when Boruc is fit, you'ld expect those goals to be saved. Add to this the lambert header, Jrod one on one and Ramirez flick over keeper, we could easily have had another 3 goals... So swings and roundabouts, it didn't fall for us this game! We are a young, inexperienced team in transition, but CRUCIALLY we are showing enough to suggest we will score goals, and even though we're conceding them, you can see the light and its obvious the corrections, that need making. Adkins is too good a manager not to see where needs work, if we can I'm sure he can! The thing that gives me most confidence is, the way we are playing, we do not fit the billing for a hopeless team which will get relegated. Need a good solid ten games to settle. There is massive hope.
