  1. We didn't start well but once Barnard equalised we looked the only team likely to win it. At no point was I worried about dropping points in the second half, despite a very nice second goal from 'Pool. Another 3 points under the belt and roll on Sunday! 10 minutes before kick-off I counted 47 Hartlepool fans, and during the game I would estimate there were no more than 80.
  2. The ticket office didn't have the tickets.
  3. I see your point, but people appear to be blaming this solely on the ticket office. They did not receive the tickets from the football league until about 12 days ago, at which point they had to be sorted into all the different batches that people had ordered, addressed and then sent out. Once the sorting was done I very much doubt they had the option to just put several thousand envelopes in the post in one go, Royal Mail probably prevented them from doing this. If what I have said it correct then the ticket office have been very restricted with their actions and under the circumstances have done a very good job. They have even told people on the OS several times what to do in the event of tickets not arriving and have provided a date (tomorrow) for the cut off.
  4. Why are people getting so upset about not having tickets, am I missing something or is the game not until Sunday?! The ticket office have said your tickets should arrive by Wednesday, if they don't then phone up and they will print replicas that will either be sent again or collected on the day. People seem to make out that printing, sorting and sending 45,000 tickets is plain sailing.
  5. Yeah it was, but I guess it is about learning the characters more as this series is based around 3 men, rather than a whole company. I thought the graphics in the combat scenes in episode 2 were particularly good.
  6. Green Zone Saw this at the cinema yesterday, and was very impressed. It stars Matt Damon playing the role of a military chief in the opening weeks of the Iraq war, leading his team to areas where there are supposed weapons of mass destruction. There is a good mix of action and military politics, uncovering an interesting conspiracy theory about the war. Damon was brilliant in it and it was well worth the watch. 8/10
  7. Had us sussed did you, Karl?
  8. I'm also not a fan of heights and the upper tier does look up in the gods but trust me, it's not. You don't feel high at all as the pitch is right infront of you and you get a great view. Nothing to worry about.
  9. Both sets of fans quiet and around 1,800 Saints there.
  10. 1-1 At Fratton Park
  11. I simply do not understand why women officiate in male football.
  12. MK Dons seem to be creating a few chances, luckily their finishing sounds poor.
  13. Puncheon and Lambert seem to be alternating on corners.
  14. Ordered 7 tickets using 4 season tickets in the early hours on the very first day of sales and got all 7 first thing monday morning.
  15. First half we did well, not flying out the traps in recent games but we created chances and Swindon were lucky not to be 1 or even 2 down at the break. Second half a different team came out, one which couldn't complete a pass, left themselves open and felt pumping the ball somewhere near Rickie was the best way to win. Swindon ran the show second half and we created nothing of note (except Rickie's crossbar hit). The fact they had 10 men meant nothing at 1-0, it just means the team goes 4-4-1 and digs in even more. Bad: Fonte - very poor in comparison to saturday Jaidi - Seemed sloppy and had rings run around him near the end James - Impact play? Don't make me laugh, he didn't complete a single cross in 25 minutes Lallana and Puncheon - Both ran a lot, tried and failed to take on players, losing the ball far too often. Hammond - Poor with passing The Good: Lambert still put in 100% The traffic was pretty quiet after the game Any lingering hopes of the play-offs have now gone and we can look to Wembley and next season, but Pardew is still the right man for the job.
  16. They are possibly the largest football tickets i've ever seen.
  17. Just finished the first episode and it promises to be another fantastic series.
  18. Starts tonight on HBO, which i'll be promptly downloading tomorrow morning.
  19. The ref was terrible first half. Fonte was outstanding. No idea why the second was disallowed. Leeds had 1 shot on target and were shut out by the defence. Our fans were great, theirs were very quite after the first 10 minutes. We deserved to win by more. Job done. Oh and Jermaine Beckford spent half the game on the floor after looking at our back 4 and just falling over.
  20. Sorted
  21. Each team gets half the ground (admittedly lots of that 'half' are the 'football family') but you do not have fans of opposing teams sat above or below each other. However, I don't understand why we can't have the upper tier in the North-East of the ground which is currently empty, and leave a number of rows at the bottom of the upper tier for stewarding and segregation.
