I literally just watched this on the Southampton Memories: People and Places Facebook page. Its Fascinating video.I have always been interested in War Time history and often watch the documentaries on the Yesterday channel. I have always wondered why there isn't much of a mention of Southampton in the documentaries of War Time Britain. Even in the John Sergeant history of the Spitfire, the town didn't get name checked, which I though was rather odd. So its great to finally see some war time Southampton footage. I'd be interested to see more.

A friend of mine and I argued recently about what score we wanted for the QPR v Wigan match. I said I wouldn't mind a draw for that match to keep the gap between us and Wigan. He wanted Wigan to win cause he really hates Redknapp and more than anything he wanted to see him crushed. In the end I think we both ended up with the result we could be pleased with. I got my draw but Harry was crushed! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V8C63ZPjcE8

ok then someone in the Football League has a soft spot for them, God only knows why?
-
I hope so but that's assuming they don't start cheating and living beyond their means again because they know they can get away with it. I was really hoping they wouldn't even be a league side anymore after all this. I still feel they have gotten off far too lightly. Someone in the FA clearly has a soft spot for them.

I recognise his name but I don't know enough about him to be sure. It was just a guess that the address could belong to a founder of the Big Finish really. It would be interesting to found out what the real reason is though. 59A ,Barnsfield Crescent, Totton, is quite a specific address to just be picked out of the air, just for the sake of it.

The new Superman film "Man of Steel" is looking very promising to me. See what you think.

The chase music, to saints trying to defend during the branfoot era, Ah yes, now I hear it that works well lol
-
I don't follow pap, what are you getting at?
-
I think that is why Tim Flowers became such a good goal keeper during the Branfoot days

The best and worst of Artur Boruc Saints' Holy Goalie

Might be worth putting on bet down for that! I hope all the team have had their MMR jabs as Swansea is rife with a measles epidemic right now.
-
I was guessing the address might be the actual address of someone from the Big Finish team who once lived in Totton, that helped set up the company and was directly responsible for keeping Doctor Who going with the audio plays during the TV wilderness years. That is just a guess though, I may well be completely wrong. David Tennant is definitely in the 50th tv special but I don't think he has any involvement in the 50th Big finish Audio play. I believe its Strictly classic Doctors only.

As some of you might know, The 50th Anniversary of Doctor Who is upon us this November. Obviously the TV show will have its own its special episode that looks likely to be a multiple Doctor story with the 10th and 11th Doctor meeting. What you might not know is of the Audio story being produced by the Big Finish. If you dont know about Big Finish Productions they are a British company that produces books and audio plays released straight to cd or for download as mp3 files, primarily, on cult British science fiction properties. They are best known for their Doctor Who line. They have produced some fine unseen stories for each of the classic Doctors voiced by the original actors themselves. For the 50th anniversary they have made their own multiple Doctor story and it sound very promising. As A big Doctor Who fan myself, What makes me even more interested to hear this story and share this news, is it seems to be based in Southampton... Well ok, 59A ,Barnsfield Crescent, Totton, to be precise. Does anyone know anyone who lives there? Check out the advert as its name checked [video=youtube;7A-MAp3ZsYs]

If they had somehow managed to get enough points to stay up this season you can bet they would have tried to have avoided the points deduction this season and asked for them next season instead.

http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/22182724 Some of us should add to the comments section on this article. It seems there are some very misinformed people out there that need correcting

I hope David Connelly will now find himself a club worthy of his talents. If he remains injury free he could score 20 plus goals for them next season at that level. He is far too good for them.
-
He is probably hoping predicting us to win will have the reverse effect! With a virus rife in key members of the squad he might well get his wish!

It looked and sounded like Bagpus was almost crying... http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/22059721 I almost felt sorry for him... ALMOST

Saints 2 Reading 0 - Post Match Reactions
Saint J 77 replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Saints
Another prediction wrong for Lawrenson!!! I hope he predicts us to lose next week too -
Someone needs to break his legs
-
But the dubious goal panel gave the Liverpool goal to Rickie, so officially his last goal from a free kick was against Liverpool
-
With all his latest Saints predictions ending the reverse, i hope he predicts us to lose against Reading as well
-
I agree we needed to have a start fresh. Administration and the take over would of still happened though. Plus he seemed to do it with a smile on his face in the Sky sports interview at the time. We were very fortunate with our take over too, it could have got much worse after administration, no on knew at the time what it would bring.

I always knew Reading away would be very difficult game no matter what the circumstances of both teams were on the day. Now I think its obvious we will lose this game. They have alot of things on their side. They have the New manager syndrome effect. Its a Sky TV match and we know recent history hasn't not been kind to us in front of their cameras. Also the worlds media will be there willing Reading to win, hoping karma has come to bite Cortese on the ass! The press will love it and call it justice! I'd love to be wrong though.
