  1. I hope we are both wrong but I agree, I think that is guaranteed now Karma for Cortese.
  2. He should have waited and took over at the end of the season.
  3. Even though he fu"ked us over
  4. Great video! One thing though, I was surprised the players were not happier in the tunnel after the game. I hope it is because they know there is still a lot of work to do before the season is over.
  5. It will take a lot for the team to bounce back from this. Right now I can only see our season going one way from here. Seeing red***t looking so smug makes this result even difficult to accept!

    QPR bender

    That's what I was thinking.
  7. We never seem to win when Schneiderlin scores. Apart from Bristol Rovers away in league 1 and Nottingham Forest away last year.
  8. I am pleased to hear you have enjoyed Fringe. I think I must have the same mates who lent me my copies too I've said it before and I'll say it again, Walter Bishop is probably one of the greatest sci fi character to grace our screens in recent years. John Noble created an emotionally complex puzzle of a character who was always a joy to watch. He always delivered an astounding dramatic performance. He was absolutely brilliant as Walter and I thought he deserved a award for his portrayal. All in my opinion of course
  9. Looks like the u18's have a good team spirit Also noticed Paul Williams has lost a lot of weight since the Legends match a couple of summers ago.
  10. He is a class player who will hopefully just get better with age. I hope he is able to stay at the top of his game for at least a good 3 or 4 years more and does finish his playing career here. If he does It would be great if he was offered a role on the coaching staff after his playing days are over.
  11. I think this summed it up nicely...Kevin Keegan, once a Saints hero and a former City manager, covered the game as an ESPN pundit. Keegan said: Southampton deserved it. You can talk all day about how inept City were but Southampton deserved their win.
  12. I was just reading the Steven Davis article on the echo website http://www.dailyecho.co.uk/sport/saints/news/10218720.Davis__Saints_players_like_Poch_s_style/ It does seem Davis has enjoyed a new lease of life under Mauricio Pochettino and his style of play. I was just wondering though does anyone know what we eventually paid Rangers? I know we agreed to pay some money to Rangers but didn't the League stop us but grant us permission to play him until the Rangers situation was resolved? Apologies if this has been covered and its been sorted now, but could someone shed some light on what the resolution actually was?
  13. Richard Chaplow - SUCCESS, just, but had some good moments for us... His form at the start of last season was a big part of the first half of our seasons push for promotion. Also did a great job for us in league 1 when he came in. So I'd go as far to say not only a success but a massive bargin as well for only 50k.
  14. alistair magowan ‏@alistairmagowan Having seen southampton at old trafford, that city result doesn't surprise me. Is there a better English lone striker now than Lambert? https://twitter.com/alistairmagowan
  15. I was just thinking the very same thought.
  16. Great result!!! I must admit I didn't think we would win today so I am well chuffed!!! I also just noticed that our goal difference is starting to look a lot better compared to the teams around as well
  17. Just like the Stoke match, this feels like we lost right now. Just as the Chelsea match felt like a victory. I just hope these games don't end up costing us come the end of the season.
  18. Whatever the actual number was, it sure did look like a lot of Saints fans! What a great day it was too
  19. We can only hope right now, but surely he will not be that bad??
  20. Ian Andrews reserve keeper, when we had Tim Flowers in goal.
  21. I have just remembered Frankie Bennett, a waiter turned football player. He crushed , our then Prime Minister, John Major's hopes of a Chelsea victory when he visited the Dell one year
  22. The trials of a modern day manager Seriously though can any of the back room staff speak English?
  23. Like you, I saw this as a tough one as things were. But I thought we had a chance to get a result. I saw it going a bit like the Norwich game did this season. Ending in a draw. Starting brightly, maybe taking the lead before half time and then conceding an early second half goal and seeing it out for a point. Now I can only see us losing badly but I'd love to be wrong.
  24. What he said... haha thats ok, I'll let you off I really hope I am wrong but just can't see how this new situation will raise the players spirits when they were fine to begin with. How is a manager with very little english even going to even get what he wants across to the players? I can only see this game going one way.
  25. With all that has happened I can't see anything other than 3 easy points for Everton now. They won't have an easier away game all season.
