  1. What even if some desperado club were about to pay you north of £50K a week for kicking a ball about?!
  2. Sorry I’ve got to disagree. We need players who will fit in……….any player that has poor decision making and finishing should be right at home with our lot!!
  3. ………for Everton 😂😂😂😂
  4. Glad you enjoyed it. Wonder if there’s enough golf playing northern located Saints fans to organise a society day?
  5. Nice tracks at FP. Just a little over played during the summer with it being a hotel course/s. There’s always the added bonus there of bumping into a footie team if it’s on the right day! Good luck and HNY!
  6. Wow! That’s a great illustration of how far we’ve fallen.
  7. In fairness at least NJ hasn’t started saying ‘PK’ yet!
  8. Mullin and Palmer from Wrexham. Both know where the goal is, quick and physical. Plus they know each others game. Bizarrely with what they have at Wrexham I’m not actually sure we’d be that attractive!!
  9. We’ve won 4 in 29. We have 22 games left (I think). Our form suggests about 3 more wins, so yes we’re probably down
  10. Still can’t believe we took three points from Chelsea, a point from Arsenal and came back from being behind to win at Leicester!!
  11. I know what you’re saying but 4 wins from 29?
  12. We’re not limping towards relegation by any means………we’re hurtling towards it like a run away train!!
  13. I’d take being a regular top 4 Championship team over this season in season out
  14. If that’s the case and we play Willy then Bazunu’s career could be heading in a similar way to Gunns. I hope it doesn’t but he never recovered after Leicester and losing your place to an ageing 3rd choice wouldn’t help his confidence
  15. 3
  16. I’m not saying I necessarily want it but if it happens I’m not bothered. Yes it may be a slog but in the time we were out of it there was relatively more enjoyment. I recall seeing us demolish Oldham away on a bitterly cold night 6-0 - Lallana, Schneiderlin, AOC, Ricky to name but a few were playing. Then there were the two promotions, the play-offs, the JPT final. I appreciate we’ve had some good times in the PL but we just can’t dine at the top table consistently and we don’t and never will have the financial clout to be a club that’s taken seriously. Look we all have different views and opinions. Nobody is right or wrong but for me I just want to see us being competitive and winning more games. That I feel can’t happen in the PL
  17. Couldn’t care less if we go down. We’ll never compete in the PL and come what may our best players will leave if we stay up and they have no feeling for the club - JWP aside possibly. To have that winning feeling a few more times on a Saturday, more games, cheaper prices, more chance of getting away tickets and less disappointment? Yeah I’d take that as I’m a Saints fan not a PL fan. If by a bloody miracle we stay up then it’ll just be the same next year.
  18. What concerns me (amongst other things) is that 4 days before the window opens there are no rumours or tangible links to potential early signings. I know we like to go below the radar but I’d be expecting something.
  19. Personally I think it’s too late for this season given the scale of the surgery required. With that in mind would you sacrifice this season for a property funded go at coming back up next season?
  20. January? It’s notoriously difficult for us to land a decent transfer at any time of the year!!
  21. Ryan Kent, a winger from Rangers…………when I read that I went cold and immediately thought of Neil McCann!!
  22. Second best AT HOME to Lincoln let that sink in
  23. God article, thanks. One thing though - we did tend to create chances but just didn’t take them.
  24. The Lincoln and Brighton games are incredibly important for him. I can’t help but wonder if he loses both of those as to whether we may have another Sturrock type scenario on our hands. FWIW I really hope he works out and I think if he doesn’t then it won’t be for the want of trying on his part. The players have to play their part too (no pun intended). If they have a defeatist and ‘sod you’ attitude towards him then it’s only going to end one way.
  25. We aren’t staying up. However unlike last time I’m personally looking forward to the ride next season. Every week, season in, season out we pretty much tip up to games wondering if we’ll score let alone win. I’m tired of it, we can’t compete at this level so if it means going down and getting that feel good factor back on a Saturday evening then I’m happy with that. Listen if we go down every season until we hit the Conference I don’t really care. I support Saints and just want to see us win games and compete, whatever league that may be in.
