For me the juries still out, however, it doesn't mean that we shouldnt attempt to all live cleaner lives, not because of global warming, but because, blatantly, its the right thing to do. For example, I don't reuse carrier bags because im worried about rising sea levels, I reuse carrier bags because if everyone did they wouldnt need to make as many.

It's this level of gullibility that really gets on my tits. For a start, Andy said this after he was directly asked by an English journalist if he would be supporting Scotland in the world cup, knowing full well Scotland hadn't qualified, this was his light-hearted retort. The journalist being the type that he was decided to run with that quote out of context (not including the quote from the journo). He did not wear an Argentine shirt, in fact the story that is false was based on him wearing a Paraguay t-shirt. Murray is a decent guy who takes his sport serious and probably comes across as a bit miserable... the same accusations could be said about Mansell. I'm 100% behind Murray.

All in favour of Exit2 getting an Infraction?

I did it for Baxter, tho his books got increasingly bizarre.
-
Not read either of those no. Im a bit **** when it comes to reading as ill find one book i like by an author and then read ALL his books before moving on.
-
Asimov to one side, as well as Baxter, can anyone recommend some decent books in these genres. I promised myself to only read Autobiographies this year but so many people live **** lives...

Essruu is a cheapskate, he can't receive PM's

****s. hope it turns up mate.

Apparently making a tea out of the pulp from a pomegranate can have an anti-biotic effect, there are certainly some amazing things that fruit is capable of.

On the contrary, we currently have more users online than we have ever had, aside from lunchtime today.
-
Yes, loading of pages should be GREATLY increase, I mean, once it starts to load the page you should find it completes very quickly. Im finding it very slow to post still tho, anyone else?
-
Its still not perfect, I'm certainly still getting the odd occasion where it slow, but its certainly a big difference.

As of 16:30 today, we've made some changes to the servers configuration. It has been impossible over the last year to have a sustained period of time where the server has been busy in otder to try out different configuration settings. As today has been one of those rare occasions, I've spent the majority of the afternoon working on the nitty gritty of configuration files and different software for the server, as such you should hopefully find it a much smoother and quicker experience. I notice that even tho there are currently 700 people online, its now acting as if there were only about 200. We're still 'testing' and as such the server may go up and down a couple of more times, but I would really appreciate peoples comments on the servers performance AFTER 16:30 today, please ignore before then as this was when I was working on configurations etc. Thanks Baj and Steve

How very grown up of you.

Tickets were £175, which sounds like a lot, but consider that's 3 days of bands (or whatever you want to do) and when you break it down its peanuts. Camping is an issue, you'll always find somewhere to camp, however, how early/lucky you are depends on whether you get where you WANT to camp or not. Trouble? lol. If everyone took home the attitude they have at glasto then we'd live in a much safer and kinda society, peace n love, man.
-
Yes, my 3rd glasto this year. We camped in one of the fields close to 'the action' but far enough away to get sleep. Applied for tickets through glastonbury website. I would say to anyone planning on going, for gods sake dont just go and see bands, if you do you will probably have a pretty lousy time and wonder what the fuss was all about, theres plenty of maps and signs pointing you away from the music and to where the really interesting stuff is.

Didnt see a great deal of bands whilst there this year, we spent a lot of our time around the area west of Jazz stage, where there were the most amazing acts, performances etc to see, but of the bands we did see (in this order). Mud Sun (Canadian / British rap double act) - 6/10 Bjorn Again (Abba Tribute) - 7/10 The Rakes (Good band, tosser lead singer) - 6/10 N.E.R.D (...rap) - 8/10 Fleet Foxes - 5/10 Jamie T - 9/10 Neil Young - 8/10 VV Brown - 7/10 Tinariwen (Is ok? Thank you velly muchas) - 8/10 (thought they were brilliant) Eagles of Death Metal - 6/10 Spinal Tap - 7/10 Pete Doherty - 6/10 Jamie Callum - 9/10 Kasabian - 8/10 for perfomance, 3/10 for my enjoyment, dont really like em Pendulum - 8/10 Surprisingly good, considering I barely new them. Franz Ferdinand - 6/10 - Funny, and a nice thanks to last years Park gig. Bruce Springsteen - 7/10 Status Quo - 2/10 Tony Christie - 5/10 Tunng and Tinariwen - 6/10 Cold War Kids - 8/10 Prodigy - 7/10 Blur - 7/10 Bands in italics I didnt see all the gig, so score based on what I did see...

You and me both. Incidentally the 'worlds strongest woman' act that I was dragged on stage for WAS on BBC, so they do cover some other acts, tho disappointed that nothing from the cabaret tent shown on tv (or at least the iPlayer coverage I checked). Mark Thomas was as inspirational as always the act on before him had the whole tent crying with laughter.
