Agree - top player. He's easily had more good games than bad this season. Although he's had a few 'whoops' moments high up the pitch that have cost us, but on the whole I agree with you and I think we'll do well to hold on to him for any length of time. Great player.

Nothing bizarre about the response at all, it's as i understood your original post. Good to see that you've now come round to my way of thinking though and want to give him more time. I agree - to date he has shown little, but as I said before, with better coaching, in a better organised team, he may come good, certainly I would expect him to improve. I believe his stats have him as about a 1 in 4 goal rate - cant be assed to check - but let's face it that is much better than Shane and people are happy for him to stay.

I see good old Chappers is there as well, good to see some of the 'old' boys still doing it.

Agree, the price tag is not the lads fault. I feel that many are judging him purely on his lack of goals, which is understandable, but I would like to think a good pre-season, better manager and playing in a team that is not bereft confidence might give him the lift he needs. Very true, but I like to give player's a fair chance and not write them off too quickly. Would you believe that not so very long ago we had people on here telling us that Pelle was rubbish and that we should offload him. Yeah that's comical as well, good lay off, good run, very clever hoick as you put it given the defender was on the right side and touch tight. Yes Tadic finished but without a very good set up he doesn't get the chance. I get the fact that Carillo has not started well and people want to knock him, but credit where it's due. Gotta say well done to the lad. When I first saw him against Augsburg at the start of the season I thought he looked woeful. But he's obviously worked hard to improve and fit in, and now got his just rewards. Just goes to show, initial impressions can be misleading.
