Cortese has left Southampton Football Club - Officially Confirmed
Mr X replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Saints
it was Markus's wish that the club remained in the family I believe, so is there a possibility she would want to honour his wish? -
I guess it depends on how much input Cortese had on the signings I assume mp requested Osvaldo as he'd worked with him before
-
‘Remisier king’ Peter Lim to buy Southampton FC?
Mr X replied to Singapore Saint's topic in The Saints
We are definitely a saleable asset at the moment but apparently Katherina has been trying to sell for a while now and turned down several offers as she values it as considerably more -
I would get down the bookies and put your money on shaw being at Chelsea before the end of the month!
-
Maybe Katarina has better plans for the club than NC had
Mr X replied to berkshiresaint's topic in The Saints
True! But they did decide to contribute naff all in effort and enthusiasm for a good 80% of the games they played in Gaston has had a few assists but its all too little too late! -
Can't blame them to be honest he's had 50 odd million in total and the signings of Ramirez & Osvaldo look to be bad bits of business

Bid accepted of 7 million by west ham for Lambert according to the telegraph

Do agree the timing isn't great! Let's hope we get some stability back fast and a quick appointment is made before the wheels fall off
-
Never has a username been more ironic
-
Cortese should at least see the season out and then walk away
-
I would take the 30 million he's a great player but not worth that... then again maybe he is if we paid 12+ for the likes of Osvaldo & Gaston

Katharina Liebherr: no interest in football and may sell club.
Mr X replied to Mr X's topic in The Saints
that was Katrina! +1 -
As Katharina is technically our owner she very much has a say over our future. The press (rightly or wrongly) reports that Katharina has no interest in football & may move the club onto someone that does! Allegedly Cortese does not get on with her and she is too involved with decision making behind the scenes & that is the reason for his alleged resignation. How much do we know about Katharina?

Pochetinos Record isn't actually that great on paper Played: 37 Won: 12 Drawn: 13 Lost: 12 Win Percentage 32% But do statistics show the real story?
-
T He is a quality player but this is just another false dawn nothing more a few assists and people get carried away he needs to do it for more that two games for Christ's sake!
-
hanging on at the end some predicted this would be an easy three points! a win is a win though and one at nowhere near our best cant be bad
-
yes get in lallana!!! Good playfrom Gaston wtf is going on with his hair?
-
That is true! Cup games are a little different though but was good to get a somewhat lucky win
-
they are very narrowly in better form than us then
-
Agreed some people do lie low so to speak while they still have a career especially if at the highest level and are very careful who they trust. Its pretty sad that people can't be themselves 100% even in 2014 although things have moved on significantly! Most of the problem is straight people fearing there masculinity will be under trial and the fear of being thought to be gay. Do agree way too much attention given to these stories by the media but the more sports stars that do the less and less of a story it will be for the media
-
There's kind of a code of conduct that gay people do not out other gay people who are not open for whatever reason. It does happen but suprisingly rare I think because of mutual respect for everyone's journey and the pressures involved in being closeted.
-
I think they are probably the few closest to us but id be interested to see if they officially have had more changes of manager than us?
-
People might not necessarily agree with the way you say your opinion but most by now can not put up a good case as to why Gaston is here, its time to cut our loss's and just admit it hasn't worked out both GR and the club would be better off moving on
-
I very much doubt this has the slightest bit of truth to it as cortese has long term plans for MP why would he walk away now? we really are a laughing stock when it comes to the turnaround of managers id be surprised if any club has had as many different managers as us in a short time period! other clubs must be ****ing themselves
