I still don't get how SR didn't predict that Martin would be dismal in the premier league everyone was saying he might get away with his style in the championship but it would be suicide in The premier league without world class players not only did they not forsee it they gave the him a new contract without any prior evidence that he could deliver the step up! I'll give Martin credit though he must have been clever with his contract there must have been a clause that in the event of promotion that the club had to extend his contract! why else would they do it? We need to scrap the possession based football model all together in my opinion and get someone in with a more balanced overall approach to games where we concentrate on possession only some of the time basically someone who can adapt and mix the game up when needed and can React to things that happen in the game with the correct subs, someone who values winning the game over merely looking like the team can pass it around
