  1. Yeah it almost feels weird to be able to concentrate on whats going on on the pitch for a change rather than what the next catastrophic decision by the inept board is going to be. It feels good
  2. including one against us by the look of it
  3. Not wanting to get carried away but it seems that we are slowly entering a new dawn, it seems a lot of peoples enthusiasm towards the club and city are slowly returning! We have experienced the darkest of times and at the lowest point under (He who we shall not name) 's Reign i.e the whole going dutch saga and subsequent admin I think a lot of us had lost faith in the notion that we are a superb club and most people couldn't face the pain of watching an extended death of a once great club. Make no mistake we have a lot of hard work to do and its going to be a long term plan over the next four or five years but I honestly believe that we will see SFC return to where it belongs as a great premiership club! It may be a cliche to say it but I feel once more we as fans can be proud to be saints fans once more! (Lets face it at one point if you told people you were a saints fan you would face a wave of s******s) I guess what I'm saying is I can see a light at the end of the tunnel and its getting brighter by the day! Heres to a much brighter future, up the saints! PS Sorry for this somewhat overly sentimental self satisfied rant, my god the swear filter wont let me write s******s!
  4. I read that he has always been interested in football and loves to watch it with his familly and has no history of an infinity with saints but fell in love with the club when a friend (probably cortese) reccomended sfc and showed him round and told him of the plight the club has faced over the last four or five years.
  5. My god this is absolutely uncanny! well if they ever make another one Markus is the man!
  6. Phew! I just thought it might not have been because the crest looked all wrong
  7. Is that even the official scarf? looks like one he's had knitted for him or bought on some dodgey market stall
  8. comments that may contain some harsh language I'm guessing
  9. Good to see he was actually in the stand rather than hiding away in a private box, wonder if he'd ever stand in the northam?
  10. Was really pleased to see that! how often did we see Lowe wearing anything other than an sfc tie?
  11. Thought the two long range efforts were impessive he definitely has the skill but didn't see him as man of the match for me, that was Harding less skill but he stuck to his task like a demon one of the best defensive displays I've seen from a saints player for a long time.
  12. WGS was Just there because he/his daughter lives in southampton
  13. Not sure if ya talkin about the example picture on here that I photoshoped or the one on the OS?
  14. I always thought Niemi said to fans he would never cross the line to the fishy side. Oh well i guess it may be his last stab at the premiership can't blame him
  15. I think something like this a much more simple classy design would have been better, you could wear it out with jeans too
  16. just realised the top yellow bit is a weird shape too, looks a bit like they're wearing a sports bra!
  17. Little point in reasoned debate with people who want to turn everything to their own view point best leave it be
  18. http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10280~1743204,00.html I'm undecided at the moment quite like the Midnight blue and yellow color scheme but something about how the patch of yellow on the top of the chest looks just wrong, like its been plonked there with little thought behind it... thoughts?
  19. Poor defence, even poorer front line
  20. Play off potential! with the our current bare bones team! their having a giraffe we don't have the quality. Still can't get my head round the fact that we are owned by a ridiculously wealthy man, and no alarm bells have rang to buy quality players instead we are relying on the usual free transfer rubbish and old has beens. Don't get me wrong i don't expect us to be buying premiership ability players but we should be at least aiming to get the best available for this league.
  21. ahh I get ya. Doesn't read that way though
  22. In what way is it improper english? and who cares if someone isn't grammatically correct 100% of the time?
  23. It's funny how they are in trouble for living way way beyond their means and we are partly where we are because he whom we shall not speak of didnt invest enough on players after our F.A cup final
  24. particularly liked this paragraph "Now the s******s and laughter that greeted arch-rivals Southampton's brush with extinction over the summer have been replaced by a dread that it could be Pompey who are the ones to disappear off the football map". As much as I hate them I wouldn't want them to go under but they gladly laughed at us when we were on the brink of extinction guess it says a lot about their fans
