Sorry I thought you were referring to the team duh not Adkins future. Yes I agree Cortese wouldn't be a happy chappy and would have his finger on the trigger. I like Adkins as a person but I feel he has made big mistakes this season, how important do you think it is that we have a manager with premiership experience? Right now it feels as if this is a steep learning curve for Adkins and unfortunately you don't get a honeymoon period in the premiership to adapt to what's needed.

He reminds me a lot of Brett omerod always tries 100% lots of chasing the ball but no final product. He will come good though right? More natural talent than Brett

I don't think he's a waste of time, I just don't think he is the signing that will shaw up our defence more is needed

Don't get me wrong I like the guys enthusiasm and he's not terrible but to me at two and a half mil he isn't any better than what we already had, gets lost out of position all the time and no pace to keep up with the attacker and lightweight on the ball, seems good at long range passes though. Who would be an option to come in in jan to play alongside him? It's going to be a key signing that we have to get right!

Jay rod looks horrendous in front of goal unless its championship or lower opposition . I'm sure the lad will get better but even six games or so in its clear he's not a premiership level at the moment. The signing of ramerez was nothing more than a glamour signing "hey boys look we can afford an expensive signing too!" Not saying he's not a skilled player but Adkins has no idea how to utilise him and he won't keep us up on his own

That basically seems to be saying Adkins can make suggestions but Cortese decides wether they are worth pursuing. Does Cortese have any background in football prior to saints?

From what you've seen so far would you say we spent wisely? Unfortunately I would have to say no at this point. Ramerez is an impressive player but at what sacrifice? The general concensus around other clubs is that we have brought the wrong players in some are even laughing at the seven million spent on j rod ( agree he needs more time). Yoshida seems solid enough (when in the right position!) but uninspiring. Did we target the wrong players? Do you believe they were Adkins choices?

I don't get it he had one great season in league one and since then he's been bloody awful it was roundabout the time of the pardew rumours seemed to have shattered him

We basically are in a situation where we need a whole new defence with the exception of clyne (who I know has made mistakes) none of them are premiership level including the keeper! You simply have to ask questions as to why Adkins and the board deemed they could hold their own in the best league in the world. It's a catastrophic error and worse it's to late to repair it. Confidence is rock bottom as even the players no they aren't good enough to cope with the pace and precision of premiership strikers. Do we have the confidence now in our tank to believe we can get a result against villa we desperately need to steady the ship

What about the worrying statistics he mentioned? Ie that no promoted club has ever stayed up that has lost the first four games! And not just last season either. Those who thought are season started after the first four games are in denial twelve points lost is massive lose the next two and we are effectively gone. I know people will say its over reactionary but it's being realistic
