So if we were offered say a choice of Bertrand at 10mill or Shaw at 10mill at the end of the year, who would you take? Tough one... Shaw is the better talent but he's a plank and Bertrand appears to be a model pro and would probably demand lower wages.

I agree with him frankly, I've said consistently that the big worry for me is that the board have the idea to make such wholesale changes every year based on financial considerations.

To be fair, the UK is outside of the top 10 safest and the top 10 most free. However, the UK do have the 7th highest average wage worldwide, the 6th best schooling on average and the best national healthcare system in the world. The UK is a very desirable place to live by most metrics, it all depends on what you want in life.
