  1. Think it's better in a way, just to keep West Ham well adrift
  2. I tipped us to beat QPR, and also Swansea last week, hope that answers your question. As for Wednesday, think it will be a 1-1 draw.
  3. He would be a good replacement for Morgan in the summer
  4. Draw would be a good result for us, but I wouldn't be confident about us beating West Ham on wednesday if they play like this.
  5. Yes, they would have to win nearly every game. I think we are probably looking at a worst case scenario of finishing 6th, just above Liverpool. Think most people would be happy with that, there will be a few players leaving either way.
  6. Watching the highlights, Mane got himself in a one on one situation a couple of times. Personally I think we're creating enough chances, we just need to start being more clinical. Pelle's goalscoring form is a bit of a concern, but we're still up there fighting. Nice of SSN to mention at the end of the clip of the game that we are now in third just 4 points behind Man City!

    Mane

You could tell he was going to be one of those players who either turns up or doesn't. But in November/December he had 5 games where he was awful, the criticism at the time was justified. I'm sure everyone's delighted he has turned things around, he really offers something different, and as yesterday proved he is a matchwinner too.
  8. Who cares if we were poor? Got the job done, could be a season definining goal from Mane. A draw would have raised questions and our chance for CL qualification would have been dead. The margins are so fine now, and the West Ham game is another must win. But we are still in the mix, and march on.
  9. Absolutely, can't afford to slip up again, the pressure is unrelenting.
  10. Some ridiculous statements. He was a good manager but not great. Last season we had about the 8th best squad in the league, so it was hardly a great achievement. I wasn't bothered at all when he left, although many on here were. He had been engineering a move to Spurs since March. Only in it for himself. How's his win percentage looking these days?
  11. It's a big if. Let's just hope we do win and stay on track.
  12. I fail to see how you've failed to answer my question. If we lose on saturday, do you think we will lose no more than 3 games for the rest of the season?
  13. Because prior to the Swansea game, we needed to win around 2 out of every 3 games to have a chance of 4th, so losing a maximum of 5 from 16. So say we do lose saturday, do you honestly think we will get through 14 games only losing 3?
  14. Near enough, yes. Still a great season but it would be difficult to accept losing out on a top 4 spot having been in the race for so long. How some people think we might still have a chance if we lose on Saturday is beyond me.
  15. 1. Schneiderlin 2. Wanyama 3. Fonte
  16. We should be nearly back to full strength. I'm not interested in what QPR are doing, we must beat them. There can be no excuses. This is our biggest game in nearly 3 years. Let's hope we play like it is. Going to go for a 2-1 win, Mane and Dunne og. Defeat is absolutely unthinkable, so nervous already
  17. I think the most worrying thing is that we've played to our maximum potential for the most part this season, whereas the teams around us haven't, yet are only a few points behind. I'd like to think we can get to the Europa. Let's not forget that 4th place could land us with a tricky CL qualifier anyway. Plus as mentioned, teams like Arsenal know what it takes now for the rest of the season. Just have a feeling we will lose another 5 or 6 games.
  18. We were close to it. Either way it's been a great season and we should easily beat last season's points total. I was expecting 10th-12th place so anything above that is a bonus. I think we've all got a bit over-excited and rightly so. But I feel too many people are taking it for granted that we will beat all the sides we did in the first half of the season. West Ham at home, Sunderland, Stoke, QPR and Leicester all away, are we realistically going to take maximum points again from those fixtures? Unlikely.
  19. There wouldn't. We would have left ourselves too little margin for error. We need to win 2 out of every 3 to have any chance
  20. Not sure what he does apart from whipping in a few decent crosses. Looks incapable of scoring, no pace, and far too lightweight. He seems like a good kid, but nowhere near good enough for us. We will probably see him in the Championship in the next few years. I think it's a common belief he is a good player just because he has come up through the academy, but there's a reason no one has tried to buy him
  21. Exactly, up until recently he'd never even assisted a goal, and never looks like scoring. I really don't see what else he provides for the team, or what his role is. As for the game itself, it was just one of those days. Some of the reactions from people saying we were **** are hilarious.
  22. I've said numerous timed, don't get the JWP hype. He is a Championship player at best. I see he has signed a five-year contract, but he isn't a player who can help us progress
  23. Now this really is a must win game, even a draw is no good. Their defence is awful, play like we did today and we will create enough opportunities to score a couple. If we lose, that really is it as far as the top 4 is concerned
  24. Gutting, fair play to Swansea though, a well executed game plan. Our top 4 hopes are very slim now. Fighting for 6th now.Still been a good season though.
  25. Just hasn't happened for us today. Think that's our top 4 hopes gone as well. Oh well, Europa League it is
