  1. Wow, that's not a very strong Arsenal side. This is a game we simply have to win. A defeat is unthinkable.
  2. You sure? Sounds quite complimentary of us. I remember when we played them 2 years ago and it was 1-1, gaston scored and had one wrongly disallowed, hopefully we get the win today
  3. The highlight for me is the fact we have a top manager and are fourth in the table. After all the sh1t we went through in the summer, the club was in decline, everyone was leaving, forum meltdown etc. I was always a bit worried, although bringing in Koeman was a key factor in making me realise we would be fine. He's been able to build a new look side which looks better than the one we had last year. He speaks English, and he's honest and open. We know managers don't hang around long these days, but I'd love RoKo to stay for 2 or 3 seasons, I'm certain we'd win something. An actual highlight, has to be Pelle's goal against QPR
  4. We're due a win against a bigger side. Arsenal haven't shown they are any better than us, we deserve to be where we are. Even a draw would be disappointing, a defeat would be a disaster
  5. From what I've heard Spurs won't be making a move in January, but still interested. He deserves a better club than them anyway.
  6. Pure class from Hazard. That's what you have to deal with playing teams like Chelsea. We've got to keep plugging away, a draw would be a fantastic result.
  7. Ok. Mane turns up, Pelle mugs off Terry and Cahill, Fonte snaps Costa's leg, and Hazard goes missing, later to be found in Nathaniel Clyne's pocket. 2-1 Saints
  8. It's a fair point mate, I suffer from it. I'm preying we can get something out of the game tomorrow, it would be a turning point in our season. I want to believe, I really do, but until we beat a top side then it's going to be difficult to change my mindset
  9. Because, I feel we have performed as well as we possibly can. It will be difficult to match our points total in the 2nd half of the season. If we can, then 5th spot will be ours, and it would be incredible. Chelsea, City, Man Utd and Arsenal will finish above us. Spurs and Liverpool have both been poor, yet are only trailing us by a few points, and I would expect both to perform better in the latter half of the season. I'll be delighted with 8th or above and a cup run. CB, you need to calm yourself down, there's a lot of anger in your posts.
  10. I believe what he is trying to say is that I'm a c**t. It's all a bit unnecessary really, claiming i have another account as a previous user is embarassing. At the end of the day, I'm a lot more cautious and pessimistic than a few others, but there's no need for trolling accusations. I would love nothing more than for us to upset the applecart and gatecrash the top 6 party. Maybe I just don't believe we can do it, it's almost too good to be true. By the end of the first round of fixtures, with the exception of Burnley we will have lost to 6 other teams who may well finish above us. Do the players believe we are capable of beating these sides? I apologise if people are ****ed off by my comments, but there's a long way to go. We have the foundations here of a great side here, but there still appears to be an inferiority complex in us. We are capable of beating every team in this league. Once we show we can, which might be tomorrow or thursday, then maybe I will start believing. But it's early days, and realistically we are not going to take maximum points off of the teams weve beaten the second time around. Let's enjoy it, but stay grounded. A 7th or 8th placed finish would be a great achievment, some people may be expecting too much because of how we've performed so far.
  11. Great to see a different selection of goalscorers again, shows that we aren't over reliant on Pelle. Still don't get all the Forster criticism, think he was solid again. Maybe people are over scrutinising every goal we concede as we don't let many in. And fairplay to JWP, as one of his biggest critics, have to say he was excellent.
  12. There's a chance Mourinho might make a few changes, but they pretty much have a full strength squad, and in my opinion are right now one of the best sides of the premier league era. What's key is that we have belief that we can get something, we have to give it a go like we did against Man Utd. It's a short recovery time for both sides so anything could happen. Head says 2-0 Chelsea, heart says dramatic late 2-1 win for us. Is Fonte available?
  13. Calm down everyone, just feel the gap is too close considering our next 2 fixtures. Just worried that once Spurs and Liverpool get ahead of us, we might find it difficult to catch them. That is all. Until we show we can grab points of off teams like Spurs, Liverpool and Arsenal, then it's near enough an impossibility to finish ahead of them. I'll enjoy our win, but once again, people are getting carried away.
  14. Great win, we've done well to find our form today, great to see Mane finally deliver. Just a shame wins for Spurs and Liverpool have finally ended any hopes of a top 6 finish. Two tough games to come now, but the pressure is off now.
  15. Chelsea look almost unbeatable, maybe they will make changes though. RoKo is putting pressure on himself with that team selection
  16. Poor line up, would like to have seen us go all out for victory, as any team we put out will struggle against Chelsea. Would be surprised if we get a goal today.
  17. Wow. Heard nothing of the game, were we good or did Everton play poorly?
  18. It does, it's all about timing. I first bet us to lose starting with the Leicester game, so 2 losers followed by 5 winning bets. One more big punt on Everton, then I will stop for a couple of months as I think we will redisover a bit of form.
  19. Easy money once again on Everton, the only positive these last few weeks has been the betting winnings
  20. Everton - lose 1-4 Palace - win 2-1 Chelsea - draw 2-2 Arsenal - draw 1-1
  21. Only for another week. It's just a case of people holding on to false hope. It's understandable, but it's far too early in the season. The fact we seem to be incapable of taking points off of the bigger sides means we're playing with a serious points handicap. With Chelsea twice, Arsenal and Man Utd to come, things aren't going to get any easier. I predicted this a few weeks back and got ridiculed for suggesting top half would be an incredible achievement for this squad. We simply don't have enough striking options to be anything more than a midtable side. Take the Sunderland game out of the equation, (when all 8 goals were pretty sloppy, we didn't have to try much to score,) and we haven't scored too many. Right now, we just have to hope the players have enough belief to turn things around. But forget league positions, everything just fell right for us, but our luck has well and truly ran out.
  22. Think we will lose the midfield battle. Confidence is low, whilst Everton are starting to build up a bit of monentum. Saints 1-4 Everton, followed by the biggest meltdown seen on here in recent years. Everyone needs to relax and accept where we are at right now. God help anyone who starts calling for RoKo's head
  23. Don't understand the hype with JWP. Far too lightweight and fuk all in terms of goals and assists for a supposed dead ball specialist. Comes across as a good guy, but sadly League One/ Championship level at best
  24. I warned there would be major meltdown if we lost tonight. We seriously lack squad depth, the lack of goals is a major worry. When Pelle's not firing we have no real goal threat. We really do need a winter break as the games are coming thick and fast. I honestly can't see us winning for a couple of months. We need to start focussing on next season, this one is over.
  25. To think you thought we had a chance of finishing in the top 4 just a few weeks ago
