  1. Yeah i heard him say that, poor excuse. Surely J Rod, Lambert and Lallana must have provided about 90% of our goals last season. Luckily we have worked out how to score without them. Liverpool stupidly thought Balotelli might be the answer
  2. Another tough game, a few signs of tiredness today, hopefullt RoKo gives them a bit of rest in the week. Leicester have struggled for goals recently. It's quite incredible how well we're doing, the last few games have proved we're a cut above a lot of teams in this league. Whilst I am worried it's all a bit too good to be true what is happening right now, and convinced we're due a defeat, confidence is high and we're playing too well. Saints 3-0 Leicester
  3. Last season there was a real lack of goals from the midfield, we really only had 3 players scoring. Since RoKo has come in, Cork, Morgan and Big Vic have all scored at least a couple of goals. Pelle is obviously providing most of them, but it doesn't feel like we need to be so reliant on him, and will still find goals if he hits a bad patch of form
  4. There's a few new bits of the training kit popping up on ebay at the moment, so I'd keep an eye on that. The away shirts sold out in most sizes early on. You can get a cheap fake on aliexpress for around a tenner, no idea of the quality though
  5. Of course, like Morgan said it would be a 'bomb' in the game for a club like us to upset the top 6. I'd love nothing more than for it to happen. We'd need a hell of a lot of luck along the way though
  6. Just being realistic. The top 6 always ends up being the same. Who on here thinks we will maintain top 4 form all season? Some people's expectations are getting too much now. We were in a similar position this time last year. Call me negative, but I'm going to be right. Still think we will finish 8th/9th again and make a cup final, that would be a good campaign
  7. I have to agree with him. For us to win again would simply be too good to be true. The bubble will eventually burst. We can't keep winning, and are due a few defeats to even out the table. The loss this saturday will be disappointing, but landing a nice bit of cash on a hull win will soften the blow, plus we will still be in a strong position in the league, and should win at home next weekend
  8. Would be happy with a draw. We can't keep on winning, can we?
  9. That's us out then, not a surprise
  10. Got to keep it tight, with City losing the competition could open right up
  11. Well we also played against Sanchez, Wilshere, Cazorla, Oxlade-Chamberlain and Podolski
  12. Think it's a tricky tie. I've bet us to win the competition. If we get through tonight, only Chelsea or Man City might stop us in our tracks
  13. Just of the opinion that the Stoke line up is as good as what we faced on Saturday, plus the fact they have home advantage. I fancied us to beat Arsenal in the last round, just hope I'm wrong tonight
  14. An attacking line up from Stoke. Would be massively surprised if we get anything from the game, penalties is probably the best we can hope for.
  15. Not going to go into too much detail, but all is not well behind the scenes, hardly surprising given Spurs' start to the season.
  16. A few of these teams totals are influenced by the fact we have already beaten them, don't forget that. Yet another pointless statisticsl exercise. We"ve got people trying to show how we shouldn't be 2nd, and others trying to make us top. Think I might stick to the real premier league table, or perhaps start a new thread on it
  17. Spurs are very much interested. As good as he's been, I'd let him go. Although it's not guaranteed MP will be there in January from what I've heard.
  18. Well no actually. Results never work out how you expect. Just ask people who bet the likes of liverpool, arsenal and utd to win every weekend.
  19. Well let's see how many points you think we'll get out of these next 9 games
  20. Yes. Football's a funny old game, as we've seen this season. Hull are playing well at the moment. And I think we might be burnt out after the 3 games against United, City and Arsenal. Or should i expect maximum points as we are higher in the league than everyone else?
  21. Hull 2-1 Saints Saints 2-1 Leicester Villa 0-0 Saints Saints 1-3 Man City Arsenal 2-3 Saints Saints 2-2 Man Utd Burnley 2-1 Saints Saints 3-1 Everton Palace 2-0 Saints 11 points. Anything more than that would be an incredible achievement and would probably make us genuine top 6 contenders, hence why I'm anticipating a slight downturn in results. Still, 31 points would put us on course for a similar finish to last year. 8th is a waste of time, so unless we do well in November/december, it will be better to focus on the FA cup
  22. Would be happy with 11 points, going into the new year with 30. If we're serious about improving on last year then I think we's need at least 18, bit of a tall order. Would be surprised if we win 4 or more of those games, but we're about to see what this team is really made of
  23. Will certainly be having a bet on Stoke. Sure, we're a better side and should win, but a team like Saints aren't going to keep winning, sadly. If we won our next 3 like we're capable of doing, we'd still be 3rd. Things like that don't happen in football. I'd expect Stoke to get a penalty, or one of our players to get a red card. The likes of Man Utd, Spurs, Arsenal and Liverpool will start picking up points, and we will drop off into 8th/9th.
  24. Tadic took the one against Arsenal when we had a strong side, so guess it would be him. He's worth having anyway
  25. How about we just look at the real table? We are where we are on merit, regardless of who we've played. We won't finish there, so let's just enjoy it (or someone could make another alternative table later in the season to try and make us higher up the league)
