  1. No. He's a legend already, and owes us nothing. For whatever reason, by his own high standards. things haven't been going as well for him in the last couple of months. However, it looks increasingly likely that West Ham will be going down to the Championship and I think he will stay. Many on here think he's finished all of a sudden but I disagree. On soccer sarturday, Merson claimed he would love to go there. MLT asked why, but got cut off, although he kept quite quiet throughout whilst the others were discussing us
  2. He's going to have to chip in with a couple of goals to get back these points he owes us. To be fair Johnson hit it hard and it seemed to catch him out a bit, I think with a lot of keepers the outcome would have been the same. But until we are the best club team in the world winning 6-0 every week there will always be people questioning if our players are good enough
  3. Nice goal from J Rod, but some of his efforts when through on goal were simply tame. It was the same against Burnley as well. It's harsh to criticise him as he's improved massively and I think there's more to come, but a more clinical striker would be scoring 2 a game for us with the chances we create
  4. Personally, I can't see us catching the teams above us, or falling down any places. Our defence without Lovren is a whole different proposition. However It does sound like it might not be as bad as first feared. I just hope we go all out to win the FA Cup, starting with a convincing win next week against Yeovil
  5. It's not being disrespectful to Sunderland, or arrogant of us, to say we should have won. We dominated them, and should have put the result to bed in the first half, or in the first 10 minutes of the second half. If Lovren's out for a while, that's the season over for us I'm afraid as it looks unlikely we'll bring in a replacement. And as for those saying Osvaldo is back, what the **** has he done other than that goal against Man City?. lastly, who is going to own up to mentioning Altidore as a good signing in the summer? I laughed at it then, but today he proved beyond all doubt how bad he is.
  6. Furious with the result, I remember after half an hour thinking it was a nice relaxing game to watch. It's strange because we played well, but you have to put your chances away. Any side above us would have closed that game out, let's hope we learn our lesson. It's lucky we're sitting in ninth. Another positive is that no one seems to be fazed by Cortese's departure. But in 20 years following us I have never been no angry or disappointed in a result
  7. We've lost this now for sure
  8. This is getting stupid now, I for one will be fuming if we throw this away. We're playing brilliantly, just need that third
  9. It will be nothing short of embarassing if we don't take 3 points. Sunderland can't be as poor, expect to see Fletcher come on in 2nd half
  10. Will there be a decent stream available seeing as its on BT sport?
  11. Sunderland must be worth a bet at those odds. Just need to wait for confirmation from Glasgow whether they'll win
  12. There's plenty of rumours about today, unsurprisingly. I think Lambert, Lallana and J-Rod (if he hasn't given up hope yet) are certainly better off staying here where they are key figures in the team and all performing well. It would be a massive gamble for any of them to go (possibly not Lambert). I expect them to all wait until the summer to decide, because right now nobody really knows what's going on
  13. Absolutely shocked by what I've seen in the Sun, KL caught smoking at a game
  14. Can't wait to pick up my copy of The Sun to find out exclusively who is going where, and for how much
  15. The whole players leaving story just makes everything look a bit more dramatic in the papers, that's all.In reality, half of our squad aren't suddenly going to leave. If Shaw wants to go to City or Chelsea it won't be the end of the world, he will go soon anyway. Can't see Lallana going, don't forget he was with the club a long time before anyone had heard of a man named Nicola Cortese. Is it not going to be more difficult now for clubs to try and sign our players, is KL dealing with transfers or someone else?
  16. It's not like we understand his comments anyway. If he does decide to leave over what's happened, let him
  17. I've been reliably informed on twitter and on various threads on here today. Just for the record, please don't take my comment seriously.
  18. Going to struggle to put a team out for the rest of the season, now that most of our players are leaving and we aren't signing anyone
  19. All the reactions have been pretty extreme, it's not like the club has fallen apart. I don't think half of the first team are all suddenly going to leave. Of course MP may well but we're still sitting ok in the league and we will be an attractive investment to potential buyers.I remember being gutted when Nige left, but in came MP and we moved on, and I'm sure we can overcome the problems that will come out of today's events. Cortese isn't the club, we all are.
  20. Maybe he feels like his work is done, five year plan and all that. He has taken us from the brink of disaster and we are now a solid premier league side. Maybe even he realises that getting to the next level isn't achievable in the short term. I get the feeling there is some truth to this story. He's proved himself here, and maybe just fancies a new challenge elsewhere.
  21. Moses would be a decent signing, not getting much game time at Liverpool and doesn't appear to be part of Chelsea's plans.
  22. We're really going to miss his movement off the ball. Jokes aside, good luck to him, never worked out and it's another player off the wage bill.
  23. Our league position might work in our favour to help a cup run, we could be one of the few teams without anything else to worry about. Having said that, we'll probably beat Yeovil then draw City away!
  24. If the papers are saying 30 mil, Cortese will want to drive the price up to at least 40. Fact is, if and when a bid like that comes in he will more than likely leave
  25. Last weekend against Burnley I thought he was good. Sure, he lost the ball a few times but made some good runs and was looking to make things happen. Most importantly, he looked more committed and was working harder, like he actually gave a **** for a change. Maybe, just maybe, it's not the end for him at Saints
