  1. Shaw won't go, Roy will play it safe. Cole has been a great servant bit he's had his time, and I'd be confident with Luke playing
  2. I still think Clyne is far better than Chambers at the moment. It's quite embarassing that I thought Glen Johnson was finished with England 4 years ago, and yet there still appears to not be many better options. Anyways, I'm not betting us to lose, we've been dominating games and I think it will comegood again tomorrow
  3. I'm not going to worry about summer transfers, just looking forward to seeing as many of our players as possible being given the opportunity to perform on the world stage. I really hope last night showed Roy that's it time to ditch the old guard, with the exception of Gerrard, who I feel has been England's most consistent performer over the last 10 years. Don't take Cole, Lampard, Carrick and Defoe as they've all had a chance and should retire and let some of the younger players through
  4. In an age of England players consistently underperforming, it's refreshing to see Lallana just turn up and play like he does for us. Glowing praise from the ITV pundits, he's on the plane and can't be too far off of a starting place
  5. How do you define 'struggling' though? Lambert and Rodriguez both have decent records this season, gone are the days of there being several premier league strikers scoring 25-30 goals in a season.
  6. I think you'll find the goals were only against Fulham, so they lose a lot of credibility
  7. We have to make do with him. Personally, I think Shane Long would have been perfect with Rickie playing off him, but that's not the way MP sets us up. I hope he's still here next season though
  8. The thing is, when we attack Lambo always drops infield, and looks to play a pass. The only problem with this is that he is the main striker. I'm still confident he has goals in him this season, would love nothing more than him to come on in a world cup game.
  9. Well he's got no chance, we've already been informed on here that our misfiring out of form strikers are unlikely to ever score again
  10. Sterling should go. You have to give a lot of credit to y Rodgers who has managed him very well. He's taken him out of the side for spells to avoid him getting burnt out, and in the last 2-3 months he's been performing at a consistently high level. At this moment in time, I'd have him ahead of Townsend, who has done very little recently, and is still keeping his place off of the media hype of his last 2 England performances
  11. There are lots of players who aren't good enough for England. But our players have earnt their chance and for me it'll be amazing if any of them get to play in Brazil. All of a sudden Shaw has a realistic chance of going too. If you look at the scoring charts, the top 5 English strikers are Sturridge, Rooney, Rodriguez, Lambert and Welbeck, so their places are justified. Next ones look to be Crouch then Carlton Cole and Gary Hooper. Are they better players who have had better seasons?
  12. Well, whoever it is,it they won't be good enough for anyone on here! I'd be happy enough with MP, but at the same time not overly bothered if he leaves. Di Matteo would be my choice. Thanks for the clarification on here that it has been confirmed MP is leaving at the end of the season due to his lack of appearances and shouting on the touchline on Saturday. Maybe we should try and get Mick McCarthy? Not the greatest manager in the world, but he is regularly seen shouting instructions during a game, as well as emotion when his team scores. Would definitely be a winning formula
  13. People on here thinking Clyne will be called up is nearly as ridiculous as thinking Jack Cork has a chance
  14. I've brought this up several times. We can go on about the front 3 missing chances, but their individual goal returns are all decent. The goal return of the midfielders is simply not good enough. Fonte and Lovren are more of a goal threat than they are
  15. Just out of interest, where do you think we are capable of, or should be finishing in the league standing? Do you think that perhaps we over performed at the start of the season during the first 10 games in what was a favourable set of fixtures, or should we have maintained our form and be challenging for a Champions League place?
  16. Gotta take your chances. I'm sure the 'would you rather be in Sunderland's position' thread will be re-ignited very soon if it stays like this.
  17. But what are the reasons for an 'out of form' Lambert? Is that MPs fault?
  18. Can't see us getting anything out of this, Palace have been excellent at home under Pulis. Palace 1 Saints (shots 21, on target 4) 0
  19. Glasgow has made a valid point in the thread. Where are the stats to suggest MPs record is any good? I'm getting tired of the 'we're playing well, just not scoring'. If we did that for a season we'd be relegated
  20. They are undoubtedly misfiring. As I've mentioned on other threads, Lambert, J Rod and Lallana seem to be the only players who chip in with goals. How many do Wanyama, Cork, Schneiderlin and JWP have between them? I know they play deeper and break up the play, but we need someone who's actually capable of testing the opposition goalkeeper from outside the box
  21. They are a better side than us, and more clinical. Disappointed, but not too downbeat. What worries me is other than the front three we have no goals in the side. I know its a system we play, but Cork, Morgan, Wanyama and Davis simply don't carry enough of a goal threat between them
  22. Shaw will go, at least we know we'll be getting a decent fee of £20 million +. Can see the others staying, J Rod's not good enough (yet) to move to a better club
  23. Exactly. A few hundred to numb the pain of the last 2 defeats certainly helped. Would happily take even a point tomorrow, think it could be an entertaining game
  24. Lump on job ain't it Glasgow? I bet what I can afford to lose, but from an odds perspective the price is way too big. They should be odds on IMO
  25. I don't know why so many think Wanyama is so vital to us, he's not been the same since his injury lay off, worst player on the pitch against Sunderland. B I think we can score, 3-2 Liverpool is my prediction. Sturridge 2, and Suarez. Lambert abd Ramirez. Don't like doing it but I'll be having a decent bet on Liverpool at 11/10
