He's obviously leaving. Can't begrudge him a move though, he deserves to play at the highest level and sadly that won't be with us
-
We talk about us not having squad depth. Everton are in 5th, but look what happens when they play their own version of Jos and Yoshida at centre back. Great performance so far, would like to see Rickie bag a couple of goals though

MP 7/2 2nd favourite to be next Spurs manager behind Van Gaal, who is odds on to go to United
-
So that's Lallana and Shaw gone then? Hopefully whoever is in charge in the summer gets to spend most of the £55 million on new signings.
-
Got to agree with you, he's had a lot of opportunities and I've never been overly impressed. How many goals and assists does he have? I think he will probably end up in the Championship soon enough.

Pochettino press conference to start soon

Nice to hear, there hasn't been a lot of noise coming from the boadroom regarding MP and transfers. Whilst there are no guarantees of what will happen, I'm pleased that Reed has come out with a fairly positive statement -
I meant as in this season. Of couse he has achieved it, but also at the expense of trying to win a cup. If Lallana, Shaw and Schneiderlin as an example, left in the summer, I'd be gutted. If MP left, there's plenty of good managers who would take the job
-
Players for me definitely. I think there's plenty of managers who could have got the same points total with this squad of players. Don't get me wrong, MP is a good manager, but not as great as everyone says. People give Glasgow abuse for mentioning his 34% win percentage, but at the end of the day it's a fact, and a stat that makes disappointing reading. We appear to have several players wanted by all the big clubs, so surely 8th/9th place should be a minimum expectation with the squad we have?
-
Got to agree, any left back is replaceable, we'd be mad to try and turn down £25-30 million. Spend no more than £5m on a left back and there's some decent funds left over to strengthen the squad
-
He'll definitely go in the summer, don't know why anyone thinks he will stay
-
I'm hoping the summer hurries up so we can find out what direction the club is going in. Every thread related to MP, transfers and budgets is turning into pages of ****e with people slagging eachother off, very tedious.
-
We have Gerrard as captain, he's got enough experience. There's no need to waste 2 spaces on Cole and Lampard. However, It's stupid to suggest Cole shouldn't go just because he might have had a poor game tonight. I very much doubt Luke would be bombing it down the wing against a team like Atletico.
-
Wanyama must have a good win percentage, maybe MPs replacement?
-
Transfer will be made permanent in the summer
-
Will they get even worse when they sign Lallan, Shaw, Lovren and Schneiderlin?
-
Richards seems to have had all sorts of injury problems. I remember 5 years ago thinking England had found a replacement for Gary Neville. City really isn't the best place for him and I'd take a gamble on him if he is available.
-
It's not a case of being happy with 8th. I'm content with it rather than happy, would much rather be higher up.It's just that many of us are realistic enough to accept that this might be as good as it gets. With all the rumours of players and the manager leaving, we might well have hit our glass ceiling. Or will we keep hold of our players and invest heavily in the summer? Doubtful
-
Have I? He's done well to get them where they are, even getting a good goal return out of a **** poor player in David McGoldrick
-
He's not quite deserving of the title yet due to his poor record. Maybe the Argentinian Paul Jewell? Also a career win percentage of 34%, so a near enough identical record to MP (or MoPo)
-
Mick McCarthy has a win percentage of 40% compared to MPs 34%. Under MP we average 1.40 points per game. This is the minimum McCarthy has achieved at any club he's managed. He also has managed at International level, and shows more passion on the touchline. Should we look to bring him in as a replacement in the summer if he fails to take Ipswich up?
-
No doubt we will dominate possession but get beat 2-0. Shaw will have his work cut out against the best attacking right back in the league in Coleman. Rickie really needs to start putting some chances away, he's still getting by hoping Carroll doesn't score any
-
Slight difference is that when Suarez plays he actually makes a pretty vital contribution on the pitch, just check the various stats tables. The Man City goal aside, Osvaldo contributed very little when he played for us.
-
You'd have to let him go for that, we need to get shot of him asap. I'm sure an Italian or Spanish side would take him, despite his awful attitude. A massive gamble gone horribly wrong, let's hope it doesn't happen again this summer
-
We had a strong 11 out today and last week
-
An anxious wait now until the summer to see which direction we are going in.
