Cardiff win available at 11/5. Certainly wouldn't be touching us at 5/4, far too short. Difficult game to call, will be nervously waiting on team news. Even if Davis is available, not sure MP will drop Gazzaniga

Carlos Vela linked to southampton for 20 million

Would prefer Griezmann if we sign anyone from Sociedad -
Cardiff 1-1 Draw Everton 3-1 lose Chelsea 2-0 lose Burnley 2-1 win Wba 4-1 win Sunderland 2-1 lose Arsenal 1-1 draw 8 points. A few winnable games to come in february. I have no doubt we will be fine once a few of our first team players return
-
What's up with Osvaldo, is he available?
-
He's certainly not on his game, but he can turn it around. His miss near the end was not 'woeful', it came at him quick and certainly wasn't an easy shot to control
-
Just praying there are a few players back for this, would hope to see Clyne, Shaw and Fonte at least return to the starting line up. By the way, where was Osvaldo yesterday? Didn't see him mentioned anywhere, usually a thread criticising him escalates after a defeat even when he doesn't play! Looking forward to this game, but really need to get our season back on track
-
It's been highlighted by a few of us already, but we are still way, way off getting to the 'next level', and for anyone who can't see that it was made painfully obvious yesterday. Until we sign another 4/5 players like Lovren, Wanyama etc. it will be nearly impossible to break into the top 6/7. The transfer window has suddenly become a lot more important than it was a month ago
-
We were poor, I expected nothing less. Am I worried? Not on the slightest. We know we have no good defensive back up, it highlights how far we are off 'the next level'. Boruc, Shaw and Clyne can't come back soon enough. Also, note to Roy Hodgson, book a plane ticket for Lallana to Brazil, you'd be stupid not to

Very easy mate, was 2/1 on skybet. However you look at it they're overpriced
-
Wow, shocking line up, it's like we've gone back in time a year. Heavy defeat todau, Saints 0-3 Spurs

Price is already coming in on MP, although you get a lot of market movers in these next manager markets

A sad indictment of the modern Saints fan?
Saint_Tony replied to Saint Charlie's topic in The Saints
The thing is it's just too expensive. I try to do 2 or 3 games a season but it ends up as a £100 day. On a weekend or a weekday for that matter, Saints are usually on my mind and a result can make or break my weekend. I sometimes watch the streams, there are a lot of good quality ones available these days for free. Sadly the reality is that a lot of people and doing this instead of going to games, myself included -
Think this could be a draw, which would be a decent result. Going to go for a 2-2 draw, Remy and Gouffran for Newcastle, Rodriguez and Osvaldo for Saints
-
Think we all owe him an apology, really wasn't expecting him to tip us to win this weekend
-
We should try and win the competition. I think we've proved that with our squad we are capable of finishing in the top 10. A few extra games in a cup run shouldn't prevent us from finishing in the top half
-
Tough one to call. We were well beaten there last year, although we were we certainly helped out by Fox that day, and a wonder strike by Cisse

Savage suggests Moyes should buy a load of Southampton players.....
Saint_Tony replied to petermcpete's topic in The Saints
For me, it's just praising our players, we'd all be moaning if Savage came out with an article saying none of our players are good enough for United. Personally, for some reason I'm not worried about any of our top players leaving. I think the players are aware of what we're trying to build here, and whilst we're not going to become a Champions League side overnight, our progress for the last 5 seasons shows Cortese is a man with big plans. And so far he has executed them almost perfectly. -
That team is weakened, but good enough to do the job. Attacking options on the bench too
-
We really couldn't be playing them at a worse time. They're unstoppable at home so we have a glimmer of hope. It seems such a nailed on City victory that we might just pull off a surprise result like last season
-
He'll be in the squad just for the fact we have so many out. Can we afford to play him? No. Need 100% work rate and commitment today against the best side in the country, he's not the man to do it
-
Very worried about the right back slot, hope MP doesn't try playing Yoshida there, was disastrous last season. I've never been convinced by Yoshida at all really, think he's one who's very much overrated on here. Things could get very messy tomorrow
-
Sadly for us it looks like I only might end up a point off with this prediction
-
So no Wanyama or Schneirderlin. Who exactly is going to stop Yaya Toure????!!

Post Match Reaction: SAINTS 2-3 Aston Villa
Saint_Tony replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Saints
Feared this would happen with our line up. I was expecting it, we've had lots of good results and we're going through a tricky period. I think the bottom line is that we have a starting 11 that is good enough to finish 7th to 10th, but beyond that there is a lack of strength in depth. Tonight has further highlighted how far behind we are in terms of trying to get to the next level. Still, I made a few hundred quid, but onwards and upwards for the team hopefully. The next few games look really tough though, we're going to have to stay positive and try and pick up some points
