Unfortunately I'm already passed that point. I may be able to go to see saints once a season as a birthday treat. I can (and have) pick up an entire season ticket for my local league 1 club for £100. In terms of value there's no competition. It makes me sad that I can't afford more with a young family but I'd rather get the enjoyment of an entire season watching entertaining (if somewhat lower quality) football than going to see Saints more than twice a year.

Does that include my foam hand and face paints?

My name is Julian, I'm from Romsey and I'm middle class. I'm afraid I didn't get the memo that I wasn't allowed to support Southampton FC due to being born into a family that isn't on the breadline. I do apologies for my 20+ years of support. I'll go away now, cook some cous-cous and play a bit of lawn tennis. Cheerio

Oops, sorry my baby daughter just grabbed my iPhone and managed to post that. You can't leave them for a second can you? Anyway I suppose it's no worse than most of the posts on here...

I have a six year old girl and a 6 month old girl. My wife got post natal depression with our first and it was horrific. With the new baby no depression and its wonderful. Watch out for signs of depression and act quickly if you suspect anything. You hear stories of looking into babies eyes when they are born and instantly connecting and falling in love like nothing you've ever felt before. It didn't happen to me, it took months for us to 'connect'. Once that happened its a love like no other.

Not related to this little chap is he?

Get ready for Bulgarians and Romanians coming
ZebadeeRust replied to Thedelldays's topic in The Lounge
^ No, immigration should be far better controlled in this country in my opinion. The uncontrolled influx of people to the UK is ridiculous, in fact my Bulgarian wife is astonished and disgusted by it more than anyone here. Any anger about immigration should directed at our government and even more so the previous government. Don't blame or ridicule the Romanians, Bulgarians, Polish etc. As for Bulgaria/Romania being a dump. Hahahahaha. Really? REALLY? Utterly stunning countryside, take a walk through the rhodope mountains then get back to me... One last thing, Romania has had a very close relationship with France for generations and every Bulgarian I've met who wanted to go abroad wants to go to USA or Germany. Why go to a ****y wet cold crowded island off of Northern France? -
Get ready for Bulgarians and Romanians coming
ZebadeeRust replied to Thedelldays's topic in The Lounge
I guess I shouldn't be surprised, but the level of ignorance on this thread is astonishing. I've been married to. a Bulgarian for 10 years, own a property in Varna, Bulgaria and spend a lot of time there. There are some very bad things about that part of the world. The government/mafia (they are basically the same thing these days) at the top and the gypsies at the bottom are both sections of society to be disgusted by. The 90% of people in the middle are hard working, smart, passionate and have a realistic grasp on life that many of the more right wing leaning posters in this forum would find very refreshing. As for coming over here and taking our jobs, well they will and not just picking fruit either. Why? Because they work much harder than any Brit I have ever met, their education system puts ours to shame and from my experience they're just much smarter than the average person in the UK. I've spent the last 10 years of my life keeping up with them and its damn hard work. I've got a feeling a lot of people in the UK will have to do the same pretty soon. -
1. My initial reaction is of shock and sadness. I liked Adkins a lot. He did a superb job and I wish him well 2. However, I seem to remember a massive negative reaction to Pardew getting sacked after a resounding 4-1 win at Bristol. Many were shocked, angry and pessimistic then. In hindsight that all turned out rather well didn't it? So lets not all wet our keks and throw the teddies out just yet shall we? The new guy might be ****, but lets all take a cooling glass of 'calm the fuk down' and give the chap a chance shall we. 3. We're all upset now but there's no reason that appointing this guy could turn out to be a genius decision. It could also turn out to be a **** decision, but lets not all turn into Chelsea 'fans' and act like massive babies like they have done at Stamford Bridge recently. The likes of Shaw, Lallana, Gaston etc all need our support more now than ever. 4. COYR's and thx Nige.

No, but I bet they have a lot of blokes buying their other halfs undies for Xmas, birthdays. I'm no expert but the stuff they have in there looked like the kind of underwear blokes buy for their wife/girlfriend, not big comfy granny pants that make them look less fat that ladies buy themselves... As I say, just a hunch.

Woolworth HMV Comet Julien Greeves Blacks La senza Adams hawkins bazzar Barratts Peacocks Game Clintons Jessops JJB Blockbuster I'd be interested to know from that list what their sales are/were like with regards to selling to males or females. My guess is that the majority of sales from those shops would have been to males. It just looks like a more 'blokey' list in general. Is it just that us blokes can't be bothered going shopping any more, we've got better things to do, like going to the football. Just look in the high street at how many nail bars, hair dressers and coffee shops there are now. The wimminz are taking over it's just like in the Two Ronnies...

I live in Crawley and go back and forth to Southampton quite a bit. The M3/M25/M23 is the faster route but only if its totally clear, which it rarely is. 9 times out of 10 I use the route suggested by Essruu, only 5-10 minutes longer than the M3/M25 route but shorter, a much nicer drive and more reliable too. I did it in 1 hour 35 minutes a couple of days ago without going at silly speeds.

Place your bets on how many days it will take before Eastwood gets "injured" so they go crawling back to the FL begging for another Emergency loan?
-
He ran half the length of the pitch and then messed it up at the end. Sound familiar?
-
Actually Crawley won 3-2. Speaking of Crawley, Forte has been pretty ineffective in the games I've seen so far. The only thing he's managed to do was in shooting practice before Saturdays match vs Tranmere, he missed the goal from about 8 yards and hit me in the stomach in the stand. Git.

I bought this from a bookshop in Bulgaria about 5 years ago.

Crawley may have had a lot of investment back in the conference But they've made a fair bit too with the sales of Wes Thomas, Matt Tubbs & Tyron Barnett & compensation for Sean O'Driscol sodding off to Forest. Also not forgetting that FA cup tie at old Trafford made enough money in a single game to offset that whole conference winning expenditure. Not exactly Pompey style is it? Crowds at the Broadfield have quadrupled since the conference also. You're right about Steve Evens though. Bit of a bulb and no mistake. At least he's not Crawley's problem now though.
-
You forget that I've been watching Crawley since they were Conference also-rans. That sort of thing is standard issue
-
Despite being a Saints fan, I live in Crawley and have slowly been introduced into watching them over the last 4 years or so. The company I work for sponsors the club so I got a ridiculously cheap season ticket this year. Will be interesting to see how he gets on...

Orkney & western isles happiest place to live
ZebadeeRust replied to Viking Warrior's topic in The Lounge
I lived in the Hebrides for a couple of years and can understand these results. There is a great demographic hole in these outlying places. Anyone with any intellect leaves at age 18 to go to Uni or off to the mainland to find work. You end up with the young, the retired, the rich and the happily ignorant as your general populace. As we all know, on the whole, going to work makes people bloody miserable. Take out the working population and the stats get all skewed. Voila a happy population. -
A couple of months back I took the family shopping in Pompey. First time I had been in a decade. It was a lovely day but I actually saw only 1 person wearing a Pompey shirt in the whole day. There were quite a few Man Utd shirts though. I was actually quite shocked. So Mr Redknapp is talking rubbish. Again.
-
So 10th August then? My wife is booked in for a C-section to give birth to our second child on the 10th. If Pompey go pop as well I think I might explode with emotion. Cigars and a good single malt at the ready oh, and some toast.

I used yodel last week. They didn't turn up when they said they would. Absolute ****e. Won't be using again any time soon.
