Not gonna lie, having a sneak peak at Grand Old Team. It is fantastic stuff.

I think we underestimate how much of a sh1t show we actually were and still are as Ralph kept us afloat quite comfortably… until he tired of it all and ran out off puff. It masked a lot of the issues but behind all the fluff, we were slowly rotting from the inside out. The mismanagement, poor recruitment and iffy investment over the past 6 years finally came to a head when a manager no one wanted or respected was appointed and we lost our first 4 games, including the biggie v Forest. I’ve actually no doubt Jones probably came and saw some of the players and thought he had some better players at Luton on first impressions. I think the one thing I’m enjoying more now is the step up in aggression. We’ve been too nice, for too long and it just doesn’t do anyone any favours in competitive sport. I think there’s going to be a few more ups and downs but I’m confident NJ is getting his style across now and ultimately, the confidence levels up.

He doesn’t do teamtalks either. For a guy who is a motormouth, he just stands there frozen on the spot and let’s JWP do it. Allegedly. our fanbase is genuinely bitter and backward, mentally.

I would never, ever, ever listen to our fans. Ever. And I don’t think Jones did, either.

Yep, like proper man-babies. As I said earlier in the week, god forbid some of these people have to have difficult conversations or moments with people or deal with tough situations in real life. I mean, throwing a wobbler like a child and getting quite personal with the insults at someone who, whether they like it or not, is only trying their best is not constructive or conducive to creating a positive or supportive atmosphere. We’re still in the formative weeks of Jones’ tenure and like many, I am cautiously skeptical but it’ll only go one way if you feed the negativity and toxicity. This is a time to be constructive, fair and rational - not the time to lose your shi7 because you don’t like the appointment or you get a bit of stick back from a man who quite frankly, is entitled to give a bit of stick back after the pelters he received for something he’s barely culpable for. A couple of shocking displays yes, 6 years of stagnation, poor recruitment and pi55taking players, no.

Best keeper since Niemi. Loved Artur. I remember it well, disgusting behaviour and he gives it back and it’s all tears and protestations. Always been the same, as you know. We seem to have a few drippy simps who can give it but can’t take it back. Thanks for reminding me of that moment. God, that annoyed me at the time. Boohoo nasty Artur! Agree, no one has denied it’s been appalling, like you said. But the fans vitriol (where is the questioning of the board, players and recruitment team in recent years?) and the cherry on top of the cake, Big Adam and ‘Dozzy’ having that childish and quite frankly, snidey one-on-one. I felt that interview was revolting. Childish. And quite sad.

Utterly unbelievable. Utterly faultless. The only minor concern is Everton will arguably be fresher in the legs on Saturday but they sure as hell won’t be fresher in the mind. If the nadir was Forest, this has has to be the first giant step to redemption. Redemption for Bazunu, redemption for Lyanco - who is so often the epitome of the slapstick defending that has plagued us and ultimately, redemption for Jones. God willing, of course. 😉 So proud of that performance. It actually felt nice cheering every player, regardless of how they’d let us all down over the past few months. It felt great seeing a goal or two again. It felt incredible dominating City and their talented team. A most unusual but welcome feeling. It looked and felt like we’d finally found our cutting edge. That little bit of nasty. A fearless performance. Romeo fukkin Done.
