I cannot accept that we cannot quickly find a centre back better than what we have currently - loan someone for a month if necessary. Surely we are starting with a handicap and need to react as quickly as possible. Are you saying you would be happy to wait until January for these changes to occur? I am sure there will be some more activity soon. Let's agree to disagree on this one. Look I don't agree at all with the poster, but he has the right to an opinion without you SHOUTING! The sarcasm isn't necessary is it? It's a fans forum meant for people to post an opinion whether you or I agree with it doesn't really matter. As for your points frankly the clock is ticking and this slow measured approach you keep harping on about needs to show results pretty quickly. We are bottom of the table, still 10 points from safety, and by all accounts were terrible at Huddersfield. I don't see many alternatives to pick from - neither does AP I think which is worrying. I think what your post misses is that we have a very good manager with a very poor team - as he has stated. As for it not being about money that makes no sense. That's how we signed Lambert. Obviously players have to fit in - to a large extent they did under Wilde/Burley. I daresay you weren't so critical when the players you listed were purchased or before the penalty shoot out at Derby were you? I realise things went tits up after that. As for scouting of course we are in catch up but I would have thought Pardew, Wilkins, Murdoch and co have a pretty good idea who they want don't they? They're all supposed to know the lower leagues. I mean AP has been on about a centre half since he got here. If this is your slow methodical approach? Well I think it's too sloooow!!! We need centre backs NOW not the future. Having had my moan I think the 4 signings have been first class plus resigning KD. This is a good start, but a lot more needs to be done and quickly - like before the end of this month to prevent this season becoming a struggle for survival.

I accept your view, but we do have to act a bit quicker than you are suggesting for 2 reasons - we're on -9 and need to start winning matches plus the window closes in 2 weeks time. Would you be as happy if this squad has not been significantly strengthened? I believe it will be - and pretty quickly. This Swiss watch analogy is strange it has nothing to do with winning football matches does it? The approach you are suggesting would make more sense if we were trying to improve a good side but we are a poor side in need of major strengthening in my opinion. I might add that the 4 new signings are very encouraging! More of the same I say!

Please don't start this nonsense just because I have a different view to your own. Look I've been a season ticket holder for nearly 40 years and have been coming with my father and two sons for as long as I can remember so please don't start questioning my credentials as a fan. Frankly I have no idea what is going to happen this season and neither do you. The only facts are that we have a weak side and have failed to strengthen it properly. Neither of us no what ML has in mind as he has said virtually nothing - as is his right as the owner. That's what bothers me. So please less of the insults everyone has an opinion. I presume you don't agree with everything that's happening do you? It seems that some folks share some of my concerns, some dont - that's it really.

This is is hardly a ringing endorsement of the new regime is it? An inability to complete signings, leaving a very weak looking squad/team to kick off against arguably the best team in the division in 48 hours....oh and on -10. I really am struggling to understand the masterplan here. We have a very, very wealthy owner, great infra structure, but as AP keeps saying a less than great team. Surely it's pretty obvious what is required , and extremely succinctly put by SFKA above. I just hope AP pulls a couiple of rabbits out of the hat before 12 tomorrow!

I thought by now Markus would have explained his vision in the form of an interview or via Nicola Cortese.
