Fans' team match at Man United - Saturday 19th October

Who has made the squad Steve? -
He was fit enough to play against Leeds in the league cup and Chelsea in the FA Cup as well as a number of U21 games. I can see where you're coming from though, obviously if a manager doesn't pick a player and loans him out then he rates him and despite his glorrious return to favour didnt feature in the 18 yesterday either, it makes perfect sense.

ON the "thriller for his dinner" thread i chose a different tactic which is why you might be scoring it different. I usually like to go on the front foot and batter the opponent into submission, on this occasion i was "floating like a butterfly" and letting John Boy unleash windmill and windmill, i'd duck out the way and my distance offering the occasional counter but in the main went for a points victory. I am withour doubt the best pound for pound poster on here and arguably the greatest of all time.

Which ones were they?

and you've been repeating the mantra ever since. We're still having more shots at goal, we're not winning. Do you still think we are doing so much better? I realise it must be pretty embarassing for you given your passionate defence of MP.

We didn't win any of our last 6 either, is this top 6 form? -

As it stands, do we have a better midfield than Utd?

Well do we??! -
Perhaps not, but even so our one win in our last 9 games came due to a last minute penalty. this doesnt sound like "the next level" to me.
-
I thought he made a good start and in the first 5 or 6 games he was here we looked good. High energy, creative. We seem to have regressed though, since the Reading game our play seems to be getting slower and slower in our ball movement and decison making, we cant break teams down and it's all very well saying the new players havent settled in yet, but he simply isn't getting the best out of the likes of Lallana, lambert and Ramirez that were already here either. OUr away form isn't too bad, probably due to us being tighter at the back, but are you seriously telling me you are happy with 4 points and 3 goals from home games against West Ham x 2, Sunderland, Stoke and WBA?
-
One win in nine games, which came from a debatable last minute penalty. This, depsite your claims we are playing so much better due to more shots at goal, what am i missing?
-
A bit like Olallanas constant claims that we are doing great because we're having so many shots at goal
-
Yep, one win, courtesy of a debatable last minute penalty is shocking considering the teams we have played in those games. People keep saying that we'll do better against the better teams but i'm not sure relying on winning against the likes of Chelsea, Man United and City is a good idea.
-
Hopefully this campaign will remind them how offended they are.
-
I think you're much better at just posting links to things and groundhog day pictures rather than giving an opinion on anything.
-
Personally i'd expect a £15m international striker to be putting away chances like that.
-
Ahh okay, its becoming clearer. You'd do what has only been done on a couple of occasions since Rodriguez has been here and play him up front alone, something MP has never done and you'd leave Lambert on the bench, because he wouldn't have started anyway, that would have been Rodriguez. Gottcha.
-
He did what every good keeper would do and made himself big hoping to get something on it, Osvaldo effectively hit it straight down the middle straight at him, either side of the keeper it's a goal or going to take a superb goal line clearance. It was a bad miss rather than a great save.
-
ahh okay, So Osvaldo is replacing Lambert in your starting line up then. Just as i thought.
-
Sorry chaps, maybe im misreading your posts. If Osvaldo hadn't signed who would be playing where you have put him in your matchday XIs?
-
I can confirm that Richards are generally fit, well dressed, attractive and confident men with GSOHs and very popular with the ladies, so are often confused for homosexuals.
-
and widely agreed that his return to the side coincided with our upturn in form.
-
I agree, the Schnerlin one where it bounced off the turf was a good save, Osvaldos was a bad miss and he simply dived and spread himself like any keeper would, hoping it would hit him, the one from Lambert was routine and made to look good for the cameras.
