  1. Shame, I'm was looking forward to being able to include Mong in a thread without being infracted.
  2. There are a couple of things this mboard can learn from the De Ridder signing Firstly, pace does not equal ability. Whilst some of fans seem to hero worship sprinters it doesn't mean they are good footballers Secondly, De Ridder is concrete evidence that you tube clips are no gauge to base a players ability on
  3. This.
  4. I agree with you pal, I love Rickie too, but if we want to play the high pressing game which everyone is telling us is the tactic to take us to the next level then Lambert will need to be sacrificed as he isn't the player to do this. The problem a lot of our fans seem to have is that they want the 'next level' but seem to think the players we had in L1 can take us there.
  5. Wow some memories there and to add a few Panini sticker albums, Adidas originals, Jossys giants, grange hill, Patrick cagoules, Fila, Standing with your mates on terraces, playing football every night until the sun goes down, BBC computers, puma kings, shoot and match magazine, the beano, Today newspaper, marathons, star bars, pretending top deck was beer.
  6. I remember some div in the Itchen when Surman was injured and sitting there with his bird and his dad shouting 'oi Surman, that's the best game you've had all season' in his broadest farmers voice then looking round laughing presumably to see who else was laughing with him, about five people told the fat t*at to shut his gob. Local lad, good player and nice fella, not really why someone would feel the need to abuse him.
  7. Is your missus French or German?
  8. I think I'd rather spend time with someone who knew what they were on about and told it how it was than sugar coating everything and anything because they on believe what they want to.
  9. No it wasn't it was about £20m, it was reported as 30m euros but the exchange rate was a lot more favourable in 2007 so worked out just over £20m, still about £15m overpriced though.
  10. I tend to watch whatever league one of our new signings played in a lot. Saw loads of French and Scottish football last season for example.
  11. That's a relief, I was thinking for a minute we didn't have anyone on here that had watched every single Brazilain league game last season. You have come up trumps again sir.
  12. A number of people claimed last summer Lee was going to be a massive player for us last season, based on a couple of okay performances against Mid table championship clubs, I also remember after the Chelsea cup game a few people saying he looked good and his running and movement wa excellent, we didn't have players good enough to pick him out. And who could forget the hero worship given to Steeeeeeeeve at times in our championship season, when around February time people started to realise what some of us had said all along, that actually he was sh*t.
  13. I fear Glasgow has been ground down by all the divs on here and their constant whinging, I fear he is turning to the darkside. Don't do it Glasgow, we are the small band of rebels restoring order to the mboards
  14. 2 out of 3 of this players have been lauded as greats on this forum in the past.
  15. Patred obviously has some issue with Les Reed. He finds any reason possible to slag him and the club off, only this week having a go at the club for not announcing Ryan Dickson had signed for Colcehster on the club website! Some of his anti club tirades are funny, particularly the one where he invented a fiction match which he had been present at between Inverness v Celtic in a bid to discredit Hooliveld as a signing simply so he could have a go at Les Reed and the transfer policy over it.
  16. We used to go there early Saturday mornings, its very good. Even if you go later there are some good stuff on offer, we've had all sorts from there.
  17. 3-3 Seagar scored 2, we were 3-1 down with 8 mins to go.
  18. Yes, the printed version of the ugly inside was sold outside the Dell in the late 80s, was very funny and a good read. nick was one of the original authors, still going now 25 years on running the website. The name actually comes from The Ugly Men and the inside Crew, which were the names of two Saints firms in the 80s and they thought, rightly, the combination of the two made a good fanzine names and so TUI was born.
  19. You are right for once Mindy, Mrs T and I got to a local butchers for fresh meat, a local fish mongers for our fish, a farmers market for our veg and make our own pasta. The quality of the meat is fantastic and no more expensive than going to a supermarket, all the meat is reared in a 2 mile radius of where the butchers is and always have deals on, 4 fresh chickens for £20 for example, on Saturday we did a barbecue and got 10 steak burgers and 5ib of sausages for £20, everyone well fed and about 20 sausages left over. We brought 2 rib eye steaks the other day for a tenner, one steak was big enough for two. For some people its easy to go the supermarket and then bemoan that there are no local shops anymore. The fact is people are lazy, they want food they can shove in the oven for 20 minutes and stuff down their glutonous faces. They aren't prepared to go out of their way to cook properly and eat proper food and to go out and find it from decent sources. That is why so mnay people are grotesque these days, lazy, self obsessed, greedy and fat. There is nothing convenient about pumping your body full of crap, mass processed TV dinners. Its lazy, disgusting and vile.
  20. **** up Dune. Anyway, its funny how your old mate Um Pahars is revered by some one here and presumably falls into the good posters that font bother anymore and you can see why group, but if anyone pushed themselves forward as club spokesman and loved the limelight its him.
  21. I tweeted Griffo on the subject but he's yet to reply. Can only imagine he's 'busy'
  22. Dnt forget the racist whose user name literally translates as 'the white'
  23. I agree, Nick is a good guy and done a lot for fans over the last 30 years or so, a more loyal fan you will not meet. Some of the helmets on here seem to give him a hard time and although some of the stuff he does hasn't always worked out he's always had the best interests of the club and its fans at heart and he's actually got off his arse and done something rather than whinging on a message board about it.
  24. But you think Lampard is sh*t so you should really never post on a football forum again.
  25. You wouldn't fit in over there.
