Come on 'Brett'!!! We've been told for years it was all Corteses drive and vision!! He even said that himself today!!
-
That's the most spot on thing you've said ever 'Brett' he was just an employee, hence why he was able to quit. Well done for recognising he was a department head like everyone else
-
Hang on a minute, cortese has said the players all bought into his 'vision' Cortese told us that the players wouldn't leave if he was still here. So why is Kat lying? cortese had also said if the owners didn't back his vision he knew others that did. So where the f*ck are they?!!
-
Two options 'Brett' Either he quit and ran away as fast as his built up shoes could carry him only months after being backed to the tune of £35m plus wages and tell anyone who would listen we were off to the champions league Or is it two He was sacked. Why? Was he spending money he wasn't authorised to do? Were his bosses not buying I to his 'vision' which means it want a vision at all just bullsh*t? He said himself he'd have to find another way to ask 'not if we can win the premier league but how' So either hes a quitter or a liar.
-
Chaps chaps chaps! Calm down!! Cortese told us that he knew plenty of other people willing to step in if the owners didn't match his ambition. We're clearly just waiting for then to ride into town with the billions in their sky rocket and normal service will be resumed
-
Oh no 'Brett'!!! The players and manger were sold a 'vision' by someone who didn't believe in it enough to see it thorough himself!! What happened to his claims of knowing other people that would invest in the club if the owners didn't share his ambitions? Surely not more bullsh*t
-
Kat have him £35m to spend in the summer so it wasn't money. Why does it 'seem he couldn't get the backing to take the club forward' he said in his interview this week that he knew we didn't have the finances to compete with the big boys so he had to find another way. He acknowledged that himself so he knew where he was in terms of finances. He quit. Maybe the 'Other way' wasn't doable and his 'vision' wasn't a vision at all, as he didn't have the backing to see it through and quit. Like it or lump it, he quit, only months after him and the players and manager telling everyone who would listen we were destined for the champions league.
-
And be run like a seaside b&b again? No chance pal And no way do I want a quitter running my club. What happens when he doesn't get his way again? He'll run for the hills and blame everyone else.

Champions league, you're having a laugh, champions league you're having a laugh Was their really people who genuinely believed a club with lower commercial revenues that Watford was going to play in the champions league because some bloke with a vision told them they were going to?!! FACT ONE - where was the money coming from? Name the clubs who have regularly played in the champions league with spending £100s of Millions FACT TWO - the dwarf says no one would have left on his watch, yet he has a 100% offer to sale ratio FACT THREE - it's perry evident despite what nick nack said he and the owner didn't share 'the vision' and if your bosses don't believe in what you're telling your staff there will only be one winner FACT FOUR - so many people lauded Corteses ambition and drive. Yet he quit at the first sign of not being able to deliver his 'vision' he didn't believe it himself, not enough to see it through anyway and he let down all the people he claims bought into it. He's a quitter. Fact FACT 5 - Kat authorised spending to the tune of £35m this summer and similar the season before. Why has this suddenly stopped because the dwarf has gone? The only ones crying now are the ones that sang Corteses name and hang onto his every word. Those of us that knew he was full of sh*t have been proven right. The bottom line is you backed a quitter, you hero worshiped a quitter and his 'vision' was nothing more than dreams of a pint sized man and his ego running away with him. Champions league you're having a laugh

Dry your eyes rylan. He's gone and he doesn't give a f*ck about your weeping and wailing. I would say man up but I hate that expression and in your case 'apply some more mascara and smile' is more apt

Cortese speaking to BBC for first time since leaving Saints
Turkish replied to Saint Garrett's topic in The Saints
As usual its "Brett" sitting on the fence, not holding an opinion of his own but slamming every one elses. Typical Dulldrums. -

So he admitted we never received any offers for our players, so his 100% bid to sale ratio stands firm. Based on his record how can he claim the players would still be here if he was in charge given the fact that he's sold every player he's had a bid for? Lots of self promoting clap trap designed to unsettle the board and fan base. It's also proof if any were needed that the dwarf loved the limelight and the only best interest he had at heart are his, not the clubs. -

As close to nail on the head as it comes. And people will fawn over it and dream about what might have been. -

To make himself look amazing. Make the board look ah*t and make everyone believe that without him saints are nothing. Some have already fallen for it. -

So you want to hear why he quit and walked out on 'his baby' before he's delivered his promise of champions league football? Good point, so do I. -

I cannot wait for his bulls*it. The blokes a f*cking loon. It'll be lots of self serving 'it would have happened if I was there' nonsense and some of you will be served up on it like a chicken wing at nandos. One question to all you mugs. If there are no agendas at play here who gives a f*ck what the ex chairman of a midtable club has to say for himself? Who cares? There is only one person who has anything to gain by getting one of his mates to run an interview with him in the media. Why he is doing it, I'll let you decide. -
I really feel sorry for him. Seems like. Genuinely decent lad who was hitting form at the right time to make the World Cup, he may not have gone but to have the chance ripped away by a freak injury is such a shame for him. Hope for his sake he make a full recovery.

I'm looking forward forward to this. It's about time the dwarf made a statement on why he walked out on 'his baby' the players who worship him who he is like a father to and explain to his adoring fan base why he didn't stick around to deliver on his champions league talk. This should be good. -
We might be.....

Neil Ashton last summer. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2378319/Southampton-chairman-Nicola-Cortese-People-thought-I-E-T-I-Ianded-Saints.html What's changed since then?
-
I for one don't believe any of these allegations against our former glorious leader. He was a great guy who loved the club and the fans. It was his baby wasn't it and you'd never do anything to harm your baby.
-
Because he's bitter, vindictive c*nt. If he was that petty to ban a season ticket holder for writing an article he didn't like on a mongboard, how much more bitter would he be towards the people who cost him his £2m a year job. Hopefully when he finally takes his job at AC Milan they've been chasing him for he'll pipe down.

Meltdown The bloke is the alpine saint of journalism

The mail or more accurately Neil Ashton have describe this as being furious
