how do you know? I might have wanted a civil partnership but due to DISCRIMINATION i wasnt' allowed one. Have you asked your gay friends why they want the blessing of a religion that condemns them?
-
I'm not playing devils advocate, im stating that if they were a true follower of the religion they wouldn't act on their gay urges and if they were acting on them then they would't want the blessing of a religion that condemns them. Some people whilst stamping their feet and banging the "it's my right" drum seem to ignore this.
-
Do they? I dont know any gay people that care and see my point above about gays and religion. IN my case I wanted a civil partnership actually but i wasn't allowed one.
-
Why are they out so early FFS?

Um Pahars will be able to help you, he is always banging on about his cricket club needing players, drop him a PM. With the added bonus of you'll get to meet a failed fan on the boarder and he can bore you with this stories about the heady days when his name was regularly in the echo.

Funnily enough none of the gay people i know give a toss about it, they dont care, so i think it's more other people deciding for them what they want. If it's that big a deal about adultery why dont they simple ammend the the differences in what allows them to get divorced so it's the same as marriage? And what about hetrosexual peoples right to have a civil partnership is they want on? Although of course if they want to get married in a church or a mosque then is begs the question as to why. The bible and quran condemns homosexuality so why would they want to get married in a religious building which doesn't approve of their way of life? The other key thing is if they were truely a member of that religion and followed it's teachings then they wouldn't act of their gay urges as they would know that as practiser of that faith then their actions are not approved of. If they chose to act on them then clearly they are not a true follower of that faith so with that wishy washy approach surely having the blessing of their religion would mean little to them.

Yep married, your point is?

Not really twisting it is it.

Cue Middle aged Spainish based Saints fans clad in their Saints shirts stalking all local airports.

On the subject of rumours, who is going to Spain for their holidays this summer? You might want to look out for a certain south coast soccer ball club there for a couple of weeks sharing your hotel, before a few days in Austria. Just saying......
-
Don't understand why they want it personally.

There is nothng the Americans love more than a good old game of Soccerball.

It's no where near as interesting as the how the table would look if only english players had scored thread. That one was riveting.

Very well said.

Proof? Where is the Proof?!!!

How do you explain the form in the last 6 which is relegation form? I thought we'd adapted to the premier league?
-
We put in some very good performances in the first ten games Man U, Man City, Villa and also some poor ones and didn't get many points. This whilst our season saviours were not playing and we still had the adapting to the premier league card to play. Now with a fully fit squad and having adapted to the premier league we've put in some decent performances, some poor ones and not got many results, we may be more solid but we're scoring less. Our recent form proves my point, as I have maintained all season, that this squad isn't a top half one. I know you like argue that it is and if we ignore the first ten games, the last 6, the QPR game, the Sunderland game and the Newcastle and Wigan away ones and we're as good as Everton across the rest, but unfortunately the league table doesn't work like mboards.
-
Also don't forget the saviours of our season or at least they were around November time, Cork and Shaw, didn't feature in those early games but did in the latter.
-
Read the post in its entirity and stop being a helmet if that's possible. Our form wasn't good at the start of the season and it isn't good now. By highlighting that we've in fact scored less goals now than at the start of the season it only reinforces my point that this squad isn't good enough for the top half as some parts of our game have been worse than at the start of the season when the 'adapting to the premier league' card was played, by yourself amongst others, so yes, you've proved my point.
-
So on that score we've done a lot worse recently without having the 'adapting to the premier league' excuse. Thanks for proving my point,
-
Not that different. Some good performances, some crap ones and not many points or goals.
-
I wouldn't go that far. We've got a decent first XI but little quality depth beneath that. A lot of people got very excited about our decent run of form a month or so ago and thought that a top half finish was inevitable. The reality is for us to finish top half we would need all of our first XI to stay fit and in form for the entire season, never going to happen. People point to our poor start and use the adapting to the premier league excuse for this, yet we've only taken 4 points from our last 6 games, so our recent form is only a bit better than when we were supposedly adapting to the premier league. We've played some good stuff at times this season but we need some quality additions in almost every position if we're going to push into the top half.
-
We were one set of results going against us from finishing 17th, or one set of results going for us from finishing 10th. The reality is we finished in the right place and are still someway short of a top half side. I'm not really quite sure how people can claim we are so much better than the table says we are.

Or could it be its where most of the dullards sit.
