  1. You asked a question, one which was a preventative measure to the "work for benefits" campaign. I came up with a viable solution and then you got all arsey about it!! Saying i cant debate and i should reread my "stupid diatribe" You may not like the solution or think its workable but the hilarious assertation that people cant debate follows you throwing around insults, absolutely brilliant stuff!!
  2. Been getting out runnning a bit lately found a nice little circuit, first two or three weeks were fine, then for no reason my ankle swelled right up, it happened on saturday night when i'd been for a run that morning, no pain, no sign of anything untoward, woke up in pain with it on the sunday morning, this has happened on 3 or 4 occasions. Since then it's been one thing after another, that cleared up after a week or so, so went out again, second run, calf strain, cleared up again after a weeks rest and just went out for another run, streached properly and felt really good, when 18 minutes in, ping, calf goes again, hobbled home. No warning, no pain and as i say today felt really good and was running absolutely fine. Any advice chaps?
  3. Like people who get all shirty because their view was challenged and the only response they could come back with was to throw around insults.
  4. Oh look, now she gets all insulting, bless. BTF coming up with all sorts of excuses and reasons why people cant make an effort to get a job, Wail wail wail "Who will pay their bus fares?" - Wail, wail, wail "it wont suit everyone" If it was me out of work i'd do anything i could to earn money and make every effort to get a job, if that means i have to make a bit of extra effort then sobeit. Certainly wouldnt be a proffesional apologist like you try to be.
  5. and certainly is "the Southampton way"
  6. With 1.4m people claiming JSA how many of them live more than 2 miles froma job centre? I would put money on a fraction of them. What's a bus pass, £30-£40 a month? So with people claiming c£200 a month JSA plus other benefits if this scheme gets them back into work the bus pass will pay for itself very quickly, you do the maths rather than being so quick to be outraged and wail about how tough it is that out of work people should make an effort to get a job.
  7. Good idea, or how about we rent a private Jet, all the season ticket holders go into a draw and the winner gets to fly to that game with Cortese?
  8. If they live within a certain distance, say 2 miles, then they can walk. It takes 30 minutes maximum to walk that distance. Over that then they should be given a bus pass. Why do you think they wouldn't take things like that into account? Would he? got an insight into his finances have you? Dont schools to after school clubs these days? There will always be some people who it doesn't suit 100% or will wail "IT'S NOT FAIR!!" but if people want a job they'll do what they can to get one. Glad to see youre doing your usual and being outraged and objecting for everyone else.
  9. Went to Egypt in October 2 years ago and it was 35 degrees. Didn't like Egypt though, great snorkelling by Sharm is sh*thole. Also been to Morrocco in October and November and it was high 20's. Agadir is decent and cheap.
  10. BUT BUT BUT, who will pay their bus fares?!!! What would your "friend" do if he got a job?
  11. So like a lot of stats, completely pointless.
  12. Do you really believe this? DO you really think that a premier league football team in 2013 plays long, hopeful balls all the time?
  13. Beat me to it. What is a long ball and what is the difference between playing a long ball and a "hoofball" as some on here like to describe it. Surely the best teams would be able to mix it up, play it short at times and play it long at other times. I've certainly seem Man United play long balls regularly over the 20 years or so they dominated English football, yet some people seem to think there is something wrong with it. Does anyone believe that premier league footballers simply hump it high, long, hopeful balls looking for the flicks from the big man onto the little nippy man to pick up? Or that they play 1980's "get it into the mixer" football? Despite all the bile aimed at West Ham for their supposed "hoofball" the way they play is nothing like 1980s Wimbledon. Although we do have a fair percentage of "GET RID OF IT" "GET IT FORRWARRRRRRRRRRRRRRD!!!!!" "STOP MESSING ABOUT WITH IT!" merchants inside SMS who would like to see us play that way it would seem
  14. Two unemployed scousers on BBC saying its a good idea to go to the job centre every day as its easy to get demotivated getting knock backs when you're sitting at home every day. BTF won't like that.

    Arsenal

It does make me laugh how all the divvy Arsenal fans last season all over phone ins and twitter demanding Wenger be sacked and claiming he was past it are now claiming they are brilliant. The biggest helmet of all is Piers Morgan on twitter. I'm sure Norway Saint will appear soon to tell me that it only counts if it's exactly the same Arsenal fans saying Wenger should be sacked who are now claiming they are brilliant.
  16. Yes I agree with the above, we need evidence otherwise this is a disgraceful piece attempting to destabilise us. How dare they say we aren't a brilliant free flowing side playing glorious soccerball.
  17. He isn't though.
  18. Very good and very fair. Yes, we should be doing this.
  19. Exactly. Rate £25-£30m and it buys you a quality replacement plus one other quality player, stronger overall. although as we've been told tonight Matt Targett is ever closer to the first team maybe we won't need to replace him!
  20. Which is what?
  21. Yeah come on Jamie, they get paid big bucks they know the risks, that's life and that's football, surely?
  22. and?
  23. As a premium club offering a premium product then i am glad we are not devaluing the overall quality of the said product by giving away some pathetic, fatuous gesture like free coach travel. Aligned to the fact that the club are thinking of the health of their fans by not offering free food to the already fat framed average football fan to gorge themselves on. Supporting Southampton is not something that is to be taken lightly and is an honour not right. The chosen ones should be happy to dig into their pockets to follow this incredible football club. I applaud Cortese for keeping this club an exclusive brand and not giving way to the pressure of the give it to me now, want something for nothing generation.
  24. Given that when in 2012 MLGs explained that him expecting the ground extension to be announced "relatively soon" could be any time in the next few years, i'd imagine MLGs assertion that Targett is "getting closer to the first team" means that he is now only several years away from breaking into it.
