  1. Ha! You've changed it then. It used to list 'eating' as one of your hobbies.
  2. Another one of Daves Londoners that couldn't settle was Terry Hurlock, here for three season and signed by Branfoot and left shortly after Branfoot was sacked, obviously because he couldn't settle. So we're down to three from his list of 'very few Londoners' 2 of which played in the 60s and one in the 70s.
  3. A pedant would write 'Kerry Dixon wasn't born in London'. And you are talking about, what 6 players over a 40 year period. One wasn't even born in London, Perry Groves got a bad injury and retired. Hardly the same as 'very few' like you seem to have complete made up. It seems its more one every ten years and far, far more have settled than haven't!
  4. He played well for 20 minutes 6 months ago!! He hasn't kicked a ball for saints for 3 months and two managers, one of which was the next great British manager and the incumbent who is even better according to this forum have seen fit not to let him anywhere near the pitch. What do you think could be the reason?
  5. A dungareeless suzy has kind of ruined another fantasy. I imagined her out clubbing in Verona at one of those type of clubs dancing in her dungarees to 'come on Eileen' full Dexys Midnight Runners style, full pint of cider in each hand and suductively mouthing the chorus whilst moving her head from side to side at any passing female, suggesting she wants to take the 'come on Eileen' bit literally.
  6. Lets just say super Mikey doesn't appear to be making things up so he seem interesting when he lists 'eating' as a hobby on his twitter profile.
  7. They are intrinsically linked. Generally people that are fat are also stupid as they are too thick to realise their gluttony and lack of pride is destroying them, they don't care of their appearance so are invariably scruffy and to overcome the disgust they feel when they look in the mirror they resort to drinking copious amounts. This is in an attempt to be either the fat, funny one or for false confidence to overcome deep seated insecurity due to their vile appearance and stupidity.
  8. I disagree. It makes perfect sense of him to take over now, if he works a miracle and keeps them up then he'll be a hero. If as expected they go down then he's lost nothing as they all expect to go down but he will have has the chance to assess his squad, work with them and see them in action and get to know them ahead of a promotion push next season.
  9. My mongboard life would be complete if she would take me off ignore and post a picture of herself in her dungarees necking cider.
  10. I think i might give it large about my incredible success and moving into a posh little manor which boarders a nice middle class town and the Yorkshire dales. It's fair to say i'm living the dream. I shall update you constantly with snippets of my incredible life moving forward, it's fair to say it'll read more like a Bond movie than a printer consumable telesalesist extrodinare.
  11. Coming from the person that is so in control of herself she has to put people on ignore and then announce it every time she posts.
  12. Thre is only one thing more important than great players at football clubs these days and that's great chairmen.
  13. Arsenal away he got murdered, as did everyone.
  14. Been a while since we've had any updates so how are we getting on?
  15. As good as Shaw is its dangerous to rely on a 17 year old as your only decent player in that position. His body is still developing and youngsters do tend to have dips in form as they establish themselves. We also wouldn't want to burn him out. I'd look to bring someone in either on loan or an experienced player as a squad player.
  16. Yes, because he's cheaper, he also isn't as good. We need strength in depth and to keep improving. We do this by signing better than what we have and strengthening the team, if we can get a player who is better than Puncheon for example the. We sign them and the team improves, when the youth team players are ready to push for the first team and have been integrated into it it's then up them to prove they are better than the incumbents.
  17. I find the logic that we shouldn't sign good players because it blocks the path of youth team players bizarre, especially when people are advocating signing who aren't as good to do the same thing.
  18. Why on earth do you think we should sign players who are cheaper and not as good in the hope that a youth team player might be good enough to play there in three years time? Were you against signing Ramirez because Ben Reeves can play in that position? Rodriguez because Jake Sinclair might not get a run out now? Forren because Bevis Mugabi needs a route to the first team one day?
  19. We were both wrong he's 18, born Nov 1994. Never seen him play but have been told he's highly rated.
  20. He'd move like a bear with a dislocated shoulder. Granted, you'd be in trouble if he got hold of you, but fight him from distance, a few kicks to the knees and groin and follow up with a smash into the throat, back of the head and knee into the nose as he falls forward will do for him. Then scan for any of his mates before making your exit.
  21. Yep, I could too. The reality is it'll come down to how much he wants to play football though, i cant think of any clubs who will be able to offer first team football and match his wages at City. But you'd certainly look at it and see he would suit and us and we would probably suit him if he wants to come here and play football.
  22. Not really. Young English player with loads of potential and a season and 2 games premier league experience. £6m is a decent price. Yeah, it's his younger brother who is in our Yoof team. He's 19 I think so should be looking to push into the first team in the next year or two.
  23. I don't hate anyone. I extend the foam hand of friendship to all clubs we play whatever the circumstances and always hope that football is the winner.
  24. Wold you go as far as to say signing him would be a real statement of intent?
