so you agree with the sacking and back the chairmans decision? You agree that the new manager knew he was getting the job weeks ago as by his own admission he's been watching and researching on the team for weeks was fair and reasonable way to treat adkins?

i've praised cortese when he's done things well and spoken out against him when he's done things badly. A lot of fans have stuck their fingers in their ears at things going on off the pitch because by and large, on it we've been a success. However, now the man who has brought him that success has been disposed of in a cruel and cowardly way. Cortese then doesnt even have the balls to meet the press and explain his decision to a furious fan base and a stunned media. Cortese has been treating staff like this behind the scenes for 3 years. As MLT said on sky earier, the rest of the staff know what he's like so they better just get on with their jobs or they'll be next. When i've mentioned this in the past i've been told it didn't matter, that they must all be crap, that they aren't up to the job. do people feel this way about Adkins? Or has he quite simply been stitched up and cruely disposed of just like some of the others? When people were celebrating Adkins saying he had a great relationship with the chairman a few months back and i said he was clearly not telling the truth, what else do you expect him to say? I was told i was wrong, Adkins has a great relationship with the chairman, he wouldn't lie about it. So are the cortese fan club going to admit they were wrong or are they still going to carry on spinning everything, inspite of the evidence they demanded so much now being there for all to see.

i've just read this thread again and some of the snidey comments and mocking i got for daring to raise a few issues regarding the goings on at the club is amusing, not just on this thread but on plenty of others too. i'm sure people like franks cousin, Norway Saint, Wes Ender, egg to name but a few will offer an apology for telling me i was wrong, in in some cases sneering terms, about cortese and that his ruthlessness and ambition are a fantastic thing.

Gutless from Cortese not to be at the press conference and explain his decsion. even if just to show his support for his new man.

All i am saying is Adrian there has been a bit of ill feeling towards the new manager. Quite a few "f*ck off" type posts on twitter for example. It's not his fault so that is unfair.

More realistic than the dreams some of the mugs on here have paying £10 a match to watch champions league football in a 50k stadium with a team made of of academy graduates.

He knew. It was a well know secret Cortese had been looking for replacements for a while. I said a few months back that he was verablly sacked a couple of times last year and that he's been under pressure for a long time. Of course, this was dismissed, even today it was.

I want to support a club where everyone is together. the players enjoy playing for the club, the fans respect and they respect the fans. where the manager is a good, decent bloke who works hard and feels honoured to manage a club like us. Where the fan base enjoy watching their team and dont feel like they are lining the pockets of mercaneries who will be off for an extra £10k a week. where the fans are appreciated, not ripped off but play a fair price to watch a decent side who enjoy playing ro them. The division that happens in is irrelevant.

The new guy sounds alright to be fair. I dont agree with the decision to sack Nigel adkins, its a disgrace. However as i said on another thread, it's not his fault Adkins got sacked, didn't get on with cortese and their relationship was strained. He deserves our support.

they are both right. Unfortunately this is a reality check for a lot of people who were warned about this behaviour and chose to ignore it. they demanded evidence and sources, direct quotes. They dismissed anything negative and abused those who shared it. Well now they have their evidence. I'm sure they wont accept they were wrong though.
