Are you condoning proffesional soccerballists using foul and abusive language on national television Kraken? No wonder we have some many problems in the game at the moment with referees calling players monkeys* when there are sick f*cks like you around that promote this sort of behaviour. *allegedly

I'd go with Chappers, get that mush Beattie back, HCDAJFU, he was good in the premier league for us and when he plays we'll be able to get it into the mixer a bit more with Chappers there to pick up the empties. I'd go for committed players everytime over quality ones. That's what makes English soccerballists so awesome.
-
I think this really highlights that lack of quality celebritities that come from Southampton. We dont even have anyone who's been on X Factor to nominate FFS.

I do agree that it doesn't matter what people know, it makes little consequence although I wonder of fitzhugh fella will now be 'illingworthed' but to say no one knows anything is stupid, naive and plain wrong.

So just to confirm you were happy to quote Nixon to support your arguement when he said the we had made a big bid for a centre half fall through at the last minute, but when he said a week before the window shut we didtknow what centre back we wanted, you say he doesn't know everything? If I didn't know better Jamie id think you were turning into one of the many clowns on here who only believe positive news........
-
Yet your quote Nixon to support your arguement you said about a big bid, so do you accept his comment that we didn't know what centre back we wanted a week before the window shut and 6 weeks after Adkins said they were a priority?
-
No! no! No! This can't be true! The navy chef from Plymouth that rarely goes to games has told us Adkins got everything he wanted!
-
Illtell you who it'll be, or at least what type of person it'll be. It'll be so someone similar to Adkins probably a young upcoming manager. Unless Reed and Cortese wind their necks in and let the manager manage it won't be anyone experienced witha proven track record in this country. Can you imagine RafaBenitez for example being told what to do by Les frigin Reed! Plus Reed will want to preserve his own position so wont want someone who is better qualified and better as the job than he is. Which is why i believe sacking Adkins will be pointless unless Reed goes too.
-
If you're going to take Nixons word as gospel he also said we didn't know what centre back we wanted, a week before the window shut. 6 weeks after Adkins said we'd be looking to being in one or two centre backs as a priority. If this is the case then what a shambles. Or do we disregard this comment as it dares to suggest people in charge of recruitment are failing and not supporting the manager?

Daily Fail story... alan shearer in contention.!

Who is on ignore?! Tell me I need to know! I love it when people announce they have people on ignore. Serious business this internet. -
Probably more stuff I've made up to get attention on a spazboard of a club I don't support.
-
No no no! He's a great businessman! Well that's what we keep being told. Can't think of too many examples of this being true.

I'm sure the Man U teams over the last 20 years would beg to differ that good teams don't nick games. They've done it successfully for two decades. Middlesborough Pompey home and away Ipswich Reading Brighton Blackpool All games that off the top of my head all we had to do was be solid and gritty and we'd have got the point (s) but we didn't and let in soft goals.
-
A gritty performance away at Coventry?!! A 4-2 win against a team that went down and into admin!! And you say my bench mark is odd!! Out of all this the only ones I'd describe as 'gritty' were Millwall and Brum. How West Ham is in there is beyond me as they and a player sent off after 10 minutes! Palace were absolutely shi*te, Reading battered us, Leeds the same and we got lucky. They had 30 attempts at goal FFS! Hardly a gritty defensive display! Good teams don't grind out wins?! What have Man U done at times every season for the last 20 years?! The point I was quite clearly making and you are ignoring is that we were great when we dominated teams, yet when we needed to defend and were put under pressure we often conceded and threw away points. Th evidence was clear to see that we werent that good defensively when put under pressure last season and it's proving to be the case this season when we aren't dominating teams like we did in the championship.
-
Which Is why I was very clear to say that the warning signs were there last season when we would often concede against poorer opponents when put under pressure that we'd be punished even more in this league where we won't have 65% possession in most home games.
-
How many games did we win where we ground out victory despite being under the cosh for most of the game? You know where we had to defend well and hold onto what we had. So often we'd give a way a goal or let a lead slip when put under pressure. And don't say Leeds as that was an unreal goalkeeping performance, bad finishing and luck rather than a great defensive display.

Everyday there seems to be more and more rumours and stuff coming out. There seems to be so much out there surely not all of it can be untrue and let's be honest, the club isn't helping itself either Poor relationship with the local media Poor relationships with local business Poor relationships with ex players rumours of interference with team selection and transfer Rumours of Adkins having a poor relationship with the chairman Question marks over Reeds role and influence The training ground The bungled transfer window The loan The contempt some fans are treated with Th contempt staff are treated with - lots of stories of ex employees being treated very very badly It's not painting a very pretty picture of life at St Mary's right now. I'm sure some of you will continue to dismiss it but there is simp,y too much out there for it all not to be true or none of it the clubs fault.
-
Thank you for posting. Interesting reading.
-
I didn't say we fluked it. I said we were great when we were in control of games, having most of the possession but how may points did we win by strong defensive displays by holding onto a one goal lead or keeping the other team out and nicking on on the break? Not many I can tell you. The warning signs were there last season as it was obvious to anyone that we wouldn't get the majority of Possesion against the good sides and if we couldn't defend properly we'd be punished in the premier league. And so it is proving.

Can whoever that had seen this post it up please.

They are saying he called John Obi mikel a Monkey. I would be amazed if this was true.
-
I thought we all agreed to blame that one on Guly?
-
Second bottom of the league with the worst ever defence and a manager under severe pressure to keep his job says it probably isn't a good thing.
-
I can assure you it isn't, thanks for the concearn though. As he says himself what he is responsible for in the interview i linked, then is it fair to say he's respsonsible for those areas when they fail?
