  1. /\ Verbal. I agree.
  2. I liked Niges comments that who we bring in and who is on the bench needs to be as good as or better than the ones playing so they can impact the game. Hopefully that should put a nail in the coffin for all the signing "back up" merchants we have on here.
  3. Agreed. I'm always amazed at how seriously a lot of people take everything.
  4. I heard a story that he came running out of a certain pub in St Marys street when word went round another "firm" were about and started screaming and beating his chest like tarzan. Can anyone confirm?
  5. This place has had it moments though. The most recently post that has made me cry with laughter was from Colbury on the "Does this forum reflect our fanbase?" Thread. When he wrote "yes, most of our fans are helmets and so are most people on here".
  6. I can still feel the "swelling in my pants"
  7. Did you know that whole forum came about because someone posted that they wondered what Steve Grants head would like like on a stick?, Essruu put a mock up of it on S4E and the rest is history.
  8. I take it you cant read.
  9. He, Tyler Durden and Paul Allen have their place in mongboard folklore.
  10. Jesus Charlie, the lads isn't a 45 year old acccountant. (I presume)
  11. Out of them a golf everyday, had one a couple of years ago and loved it.
  12. When was it? People often quote that all the good posters don't bother coming on here anymore so there must have been a time when this forum was overrun with magnificent posters all constantly posting interesting, informative and hilarious posts. As someone that has been on here since the original saints forever days and pre and post Amygate, it was like that in the very early network24 days, posters like Essruu, Keith, 3lions, Patrick Bateman were all good, we even had people like Scarfer, an older fella who was a good guy. With the move the SMS it became more mainstream with all the dinlow and their tedious seating plans and "what name are you getting on the back of your shirt?" threads. then there was the era of the ITKers, alluding to stuff without ever letting on to the masses, fan on the board types who loved making out they knew more than they did. So which one of theses was the golden era or was there one I've missed and who were the good posters from the past that don't bother anymore?
  13. He's sold out. Not like Chalet and St Clark who do their duty with diligence and pride.
  14. I thought you were locking this thread if he hadn't signed by last weekend?
  15. And a word of advice. Don't ever get into a taxi with Essruu when he is a passenger with you as he spends the whole journey talking to the driver about this sort of riveting stuff.
  16. They do, you've just got them all on ignore.
  17. Youre forgetting the evidence that he knows a Blackburn fan and he saw Scott Dann play a couple of times in a dreadful Blackburn team last season, because of this it means he isn't good enough for us.
  18. Just in case anyone has us both and you on ignore, then i've quoted you so they can see you quoted it.
  19. I may be wrong but i have a vision of a tubby, middle aged person, hair unkept and crocked teeth staring into a computer screen, filled with hope and expectation as the logon for another fasinating day internet message board posting. The ignoree is at first a mild irritation to them, they draw little more than a few tuts and rolled eyes. However, after a few days of this the frown lines start to appear of their chubby little face, they start to feel their levels of anger rising slowly, they are compulsed to reply, composing, then deleting, then rewritting, then deleting, then deciding to go through with a strongly worded post telling the ignoree exactly that they think of them. They hope that this will crush any "trolling" as they like to put it but much to their amazement and fury, the "troll" comes back with another repsonse which send their temperature and rage into another stratoshpere. They thump away at their keyboard in rage, unable to contain their fury, not deleting this time, oh no. It's capital letter, after exclamation mark, after bold and underlined text, giving it to the troll with both barrells. THis will surely be enough? They log off, content with their work looking forward to the next session of forum posting a few hours later. Eagerly they log back on, hoping to see the "troll" has disapeared and they can come back to the board victorious. Sadly not. The "troll" has given them a cyber ironing out in the few minutes they've been and away with anger and fury at breaking point they take advice on what to do from their mother downstairs who advises them what they were told to do when called names at school. Walk away and ignore them. Sage advise they reason, and with them on ignore they can freely continue their enjoyment of the forum and remind the ignoree at every opportunity they are on ignore, unless of course they want to read their posts and see what the subject of their vitrol has to say today, which they can easily do.
  20. So you went to Palace 9 times last season and know that Clyne might struggle in our defence. You went/saw Blackburn loads so you know Scott Dann isn't good enough for us. Did you manage to fit any Saints games in at all?
  21. Top 3 Posters you've got on ignore??? Mine - Pap Franks Cousin Turkish
  22. Fear isn't necessarily a bad thing though is it.
  23. It seems some people are struggling to comprehend the quite substantial difference mate.
  24. I've got you on ignore but I've decided to view your posts tonight, because that is totally normal.
