I believe in 1984 we lost at home to Stoke who were later relegated. But in truth we were never really in the running for the title, Liverpool had won it weeks before the end of the season and we had a great run after the semi final defeat which meant we finished second place with a win on the last game of the season. we have a history of heroic failure when we have a chance of glory don’t we. It’s also typical of us that the 3 finals we’ve got to since our win we’ve played 3 of the best teams in the country at the time. Forest would win the European cup the next two seasons, Arsenal were around the invincibles era and Man United had Mourniho as manager still in his prime and Ibrahomovic up front, they also won the Europa league and qualified for the champions league that season, not quite Fergies United but still a very good team. Meanwhile when the skates get to a cup final they play a team who finished 12th in the championship 🙄

I would be getting Matt Ryan in on a free to compete with Baz this season. He’s v good at championship level and if we go up and Ramsdale comes back we’ve got some depth in the squad, if he doesn’t and we stay down we stick with Baz and Ryan and can bring in a young, hungry guaranteed to improver as third choice to replace McCarthy

Went to Cancun last year and that was full of Americans too but they were no where near as bad as this lot. By the way if your in Cancun then do a day trip to Xel-Ha Park it’s a brilliant day out Jamaica. I work with quite a few Americans in business and They are generally decent enough but having been surrounded by them for the last two weeks here’s my assessment of your average American most but not all are complete fucking wankers. Rude, loud, obnoxious and arrogant. For example at meal times you would generally be near a table of them With most of them hollering and shouting, randomly clapping, talking ridiculously loudly. The women dress very trashy and are even louder than the blokes most of them are obese and greedy, some of the fat fucks here constantly stuffing their faces all hours really does amaze me we’ve met Argentinians, Canadians, Spanish , Mexicans and other Brits and they all been fine but most of the Americans are cunts. I assume The Caribbean islands are their canaries which attracts the worst types. We’re is a very nice hotel which isn’t cheap so god help those doing it on a budget as I’m assuming we’ve met the best of the worst these last two weeks. Generally awful awful people but it seems that sort of behaviour is perfectly normal in their eyes
